REMOVAL/INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE
ATTENTION: Refer to the appropriate shop manual for your vehicle to obtain specific service procedures for this part. If you do not have a service manual or lack the skill to install this part, it is recommended that you seek the services of a qualified technician. Pay special attention to all cautions and warnings included in the shop manual. Read and follow all instructions carefully. REMOVAL/INSTALL OF KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE (99391) Toyota Avalon 2009–07, Toyota Camry 2008–07, Toyota Corolla 2010–09
GENERAL TECH TIP
- DISCLAIMER: All currently programmed and new remotes must be reprogrammed to vehicle. Please have all remotes in hand at time of programming.
- Programming additional remotes require at least ONE already programmed remote.
- Due to the programming process being sensitive to voltage drops, it is recommended that a battery charger is hooked up to the vehicle before beginning the programming process.
Programming Instructions
STEP 1: Get into vehicle with existing key, new keys and programmer.
STEP 2: Leave driver’s door open.
STEP 3: Press start/stop button to the ON position.
STEP 4: Plug programmer into OBD II port (located under driver’s side
kick panel).
STEP 5: After 10 seconds programmer will beep indicating you have entered
programming mode.
STEP 6: Using an existing already programmed remote, touch the back of
the remote to the start/stop button. You should hear a beep. Place remote on
passenger seat.
STEP 7: Using a new remote to be programmed, touch the back of the remote
to the start/stop button. You should hear a beep.
STEP 8: Press start/stop button to OFF position and remove programmer.
STEP 9: Put foot on brake pedal and start vehicle.
STEP 10: Turn vehicle OFF and test all buttons on the new remote.
STEP 11: If programming fails, repeat the process.
