3.2 Wind Turbine Generator Install Steps
- The tower will be tilted (inclined angle to facilitate the installation of wind turbines is appropriate); the two cables from the bottom of the tower through the top hole out; and the wind turbine two lead connection, wrapped with insulating tape Well, put the cable into the tower (as Figure 2 shows).
- Install the wind turbine brackets into the tower bushings and align them with four holes, with four M8*20 hex screws plus a Ø8 flat pad(see Figure 3 / Figure 4) (Note: fan leads With 4mm²cable)
Figure2 Figure3
Figure4 Figure5
- wind blades is mounted2on the flange, pay attention to the word with a face outward (as shown in Figure 6), with M6*20 (3) Hexagon screw and M6 self- locking nut will be connected to the flange, self-locking nut fixed in the flange groove with a 5mm hex wrench locking tightly (shown in Figure 7), in this way, the other two wind blades fixed on the flange, adjust the distance between the two tips within 5.0mm and then tighten the bolts to ensure that the wind turbine balance (as shown in Figure 8)
Note: Literal face outward.

- Remove the M16 nut from the wind turbine generator (made finish in step 3) and connect on the rotor shaft of wind turbine generator, and then install the nut in the groove of the flange, with the 8mm hex wrench into the hexagonal hole in the middle of the rotor shaft and turn the rotor shaft counter clockwise to Lock it, at least 3 teeth out; (as shown in Figure 9)
- Install the hub, buckle the hub on the flange, shake the hood to ensure it completely buckle in the flange to avoid high-speed operation in case the hub get off; (Figure 10)
Figure 9 Figure10
- Tower installation fixed, when install tower, please ensure that the tower is perpendicular to the horizontal plane, deviation should be 0.5 degrees or less;
- Charge controller installation:
charge controller connected to the battery first, the battery connection terminal “+” “-” connect to the charge controller “+” “-“o n the right. - Connect the wire line. The output of the wind turbine is three-phase AC, and the three terminals of the three lead wires are connected to the controller without distinguishing between the positive and negative terminals (show. Note: the controller is connected to the battery before connecting the wind turbine).
4. MAINTENANCE
- Although your wind turbine has been designed to run for long periods without requiring any maintenance, reliability and performance will be enhanced if you periodically inspect your system.
- After blades for chips or nicks. Replace blades if damaged. Do not operate the turbine with chipped or unbalanced blades. This can cause severe wear, damage, and possible failure. Do not install individual blades. The blades are balanced as sets.
- Check the blade bolts and the hub but for tightness.
- Check nosecone for cracks and proper fit.
- Wash off any built-up dirt or debris from the blades.
- Check all electrical connections to make sure they are tight and free from corrosion.
- As with all charging systems, check your battery water levels and add distilled water in accordance with manufacture’s recommendation.
- We suggest replacing the blades and bearing every five years for optimal performance.
CAUTION: Never approach the turbine during operation.
5. TROUBLE CLEARING
The power generation system design is extremely demanding, under normal installation and use do not usually fail. Under special circumstances, please refer to the following table:
Fan vibration| Failure Causes|
- Rope loose
- Fixed blade bolts loose
- Wind turbine blades by external defect
- Imbalance caused by blade attachments
---|---|---
Exclusion Method|
- Adjust the tension rope
- Tighten loose part
- Replace blades
- Clear attachments
Abnormal murmur| Failure Causes|
- Loose fasteners
- Alternator bearing damage
- Wind wheel and other parts of the friction
Exclusion Method|
- Tipped fan bracket, check all parts
- Replace bearings
- Examination to exclude
Significantly reduced rotor speed| Failure Causes|
- Generator stator and rotor friction
- Stator winding short circuit or output short circuit
- Switch is in the down position controller
Exclusion Method|
- Replace bearing
- Short positions will be insulated
- Power switch set to the position controller
Generator output voltage is low| Failure Causes|
- Motor speed low
- Three-phase short circuit in stator winding
- Controller circuit
- Low-voltage transmission line is too long or too small
Exclusion Method|
- Identify the reasons for return to positive production speed
- Short positions will be insulated
- Replace controller
- Shorten lines, bold diameter
No output generator AC line| Failure Causes|
- Output line circuit
Exclusion Method|
- Identify the reasons, turn circuit
Motor AC output normal
But no DC output| Failure Causes|
- DC blown fuse
- Output line circuit
- Controller rectifier damage
Exclusion Method|
- Replace the fuse
- Identify the reasons, turn circuit
Battery output capacity is insufficient| Failure Causes|
- Generator output voltage is too low
- Poor conductivity battery posts
- Battery failure
Exclusion Method|
- Excluded by the above examinations
- Maintenance batteries
