Safety instructions for the user

General precautions during the use of electrical equipment

• Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual.
• Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
• Always place the appliance on to the flat and even surface.
• This product is intended for indoor, non-industrial, non-commercial and only for household use. Do not use the item outdoors or for any other pur-pose. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems in the appliance and cause injury to the user.
• The unit must be used only for the intended pur-poses. No liability is accepted for damages ari-sing from improper use or wrong handling.
• Ensure that the voltage indicated on the name-plate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
• Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children.
• The device is not completely disconnected from the power source, even after it has been turned off. To disconnect it completely, disconnect it from the mains plug.
• The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.

Product use restrictions due to poor condition or breakdown

• Never immerse the appliance or the plug-in water or any other liquid. In the event of the appliance falling in water, disconnect immediately from the mains supply and take it to an authorized service agent for repair before reusing.
• Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. In case of the cord be damaged, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid Hazard.
• In case of appliance malfunction, or if it has been damaged in any manner, return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment. In case of hardware problems, do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Repairs should only be carried out by qualified technicians.

Restrictions on use when used with children and elders

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with re-duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

IMPORTANT WARNING

• To avoid a circuit overload when using this product, do not operate another high-wattage product on the same electrical circuit.
• A short power supply cord is provided with this product. An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product, but if one must be used:
  • The marked electrical rating of the cord must be at least as great as that of the product.
  • Arrange the extension cord so that it does not hang where it can be tripped over or pulled unintentionally.

Instructions to follow when using the appliance

• Do not insert foreign things to air outlets and inlets, in order to avoid damage.
• Do not use the appliance near explosive and com-bustible gas. Avoid long-term direct solar radiation.
• The level of water tank should not be over “MAX” scale at any time, when humidifying, the total level of water tank should not be below “MIN” scale.
• After adding water to the water tank, do not tilt or knock over it when you put or move. If you want to move, please push slowly from the side, in order to avoid spilling.
• Do not tilt over the appliance. If it is toppled over and there is some water in the body, should unplug the power supply first. Then send it to the repair department or after-sales service and overhaul the appliance.
• Do not cover the air vent.
• Clean the appearance with a lightly damp cloth. Do not use any type of detergents or solutions. Do not rinse the appliance.
• Do not make air outlets and inlets near the wall or curtain.
• Do not knock or shake the body when using, otherwise it may cause stop automatically.
• The water in tank will easily metamorphose and has odor in summer, please renew the water frequently.
• Should it be necessary to move the unit after the water has been added, roll gently to the required position and activate the bracket of the castors.

Unit Control panel or Remote-control description

• Modes : This air cooler works with 3 wind modes, Normal, Natural and sleep mode. With the help of this button we can select any wind mode that we need.
• Speeds : As this unit works with 3 speed settings, so with the help of this button we can choose the speed setting as per our need.
• Vane/Oscillation: This button helps the unit in entering and coming out of oscillation mode.
• ON/OFF button: To turn on and off the unit.
• Cool : This button is to activate cooling mode of Unit.
• Timer: To turn on and off the timer.
• Save Button: We can turn off the panel screen light by pressing once and by pressing same button again we can turn on the light.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

OPERATION (Do NOT connect the power plug yet)
The Evaporative Cooler can be operated by using either the manual controls (control key on control panel), or by using remote control.

Note : Do not use if the Horizontal louvers are closed.

Make sure the power switch is in the ‘OFF’ position. Insert the plug into a main outlet. The indicator light, lights up and the appliance enters into standby mode.
Firstly, press the ON/OFF button to start. Once activated, you can then select your desired function using the Control Panel or Remote Control as described on the previous page.

1. MODE : While the unit is working condition, press “MODE” button one time or multiple times to use the desired mode, the corresponding icon will be light up. Default mode function is Normal and we can change it to the natural or sleep mode as detailed below:
2. SPEED : With the help of this button, we can change the speed. Press “SPEED” once and unit start working in low-speed mode, to change it into med. Or high mode, keep pressing the speed button.
3. OSCILLATION : Press “VANE” button once and horizontal louvers will start moving automatically, corresponding indicator light will be light on, to turn off the oscillation mode, press this button again and unit will come out of oscillation mode.
4. COOL : Press “COOL” button, and unit enters into cooling function mode and indicator light will be light up.
5. TIMER : While the unit is in working mode, we can turn on the timer. With Every press the time will increase with 1H of timer function and we can set it up to 12H
6. LIGHT : Press once to light off the panel screen light and by pressing it again, all the indicator light will be on.
7. The display for temperature and timer share the same display screen. The ambient temperature is displayed when the unit is turned on, and the corresponding icon lights up. While pressing “TIMER” button, the timer icon lights up, Once the timer is set, the ambient temperature will be displayed again.
8. Press “ON/OFF” once at any time, and unit will stop working. But if unit is in “COOL” working mode, the unit will be delayed to switch off for about 5 minutes, then automatically switch off.

After use, turn off the appliance by pressing the “ON/ OFF” button and pull out the power cord.

Warning : Always ensure to keep batteries out of reach from children when removing or replacing batteries of remote control.

Cooling
Before using the unit make sure that it is on a flat and stable surface. Damage may occur if it is placed on an incline or decline. Make sure the power switch is in the ‘OFF’ position, ensure that the cap on the Water drainage outlet of the unit is tighten up. Open the top cover, pour clean cold water into the water-filling compartment, the water will drain down through the hole into the water tank inside, keep observing the water level indicator in the bottom front panel.

CAUTION :

• Pour our the Water slowly into Water-filling compartment to avoid water splash or spill over.
• Do not spill or allow water to come in contact with the control panel.
• Do Not Fill with any liquid other than clean cold water. Do Not add any additives to the water.
• When moving the unit, do so with extreme caution, so as not to spill any water in the reservoir. The unit should be moved slowly and in a sideways direction. Always keep the unit in upright position.

If desired, you can place ice cube in the ice tray (water-filling compartment) in the top of the unit.

1. Close the Water-filling compartment cover before turning on the appliance.
2. Water can also be added directly into water tank, follow the steps as shown in image below.
3. Press the “COOL” button and water pump start to work, the air will be cooler and wet. It will take approximately 2 minutes for the air to cool down. When you press the “COOLING” button again, it will stop Cooling.

Warning: Before operating the unit in Cool mode, make sure the drain plug for the water tank is properly fixed. Then proceed to add clean water into the water tank. While adding the water, make sure that you keep an eye on the water level indicator to make sure that you do not OVER or UNDER FILL the tank.

Warning : Don’t use this button without water, to avoid damage to parts.

Note : If this button is not depressed the unit will only circulate “room temperature” air.

If you find that the air is still not cool enough, you can add additional ice cubes into the Water- filling compartment on the top of the appliance or into the water tank directly. Be sure not to exceed the max. indicator otherwise it will damage the unit or electric shock may occur.

Caution : When moving the unit, do with extreme caution, so as not to spill water from the reservoir. The unit should be moved slowly and in a sideways direction. Always keep the unit upright.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To ensure effective humidifying and filtering, it is recommended to clean the filter once every two weeks. Disconnect the unit from the mains supply before cleaning. To clean the exterior surfaces simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth. If it be necessary, greasy marks and scale may be removed from the surfaces by using mild soap and a cloth dampened in hot water. Avoid all other types of detergents, cleaners, solvents that may contain chemicals, which could damage parts of the unit. Thoroughly dry all parts before storage or further use.

Water Tank

1. Unplug the power plug, remove the water tank,(Refer to Fig. 1.) Use soft brush to clean it. Use neutral detergent and soft cloth rub inside of the tank.
2. Rotate the locker up.
3. Take out the water tank from the unit

Note : if you need to clean the tank completely, you should just rotate the locker on the pump to take out the water pump from the square slot.

Note : Do not place this cooler directly under a water tap, use a proper container to fill water to avoid splashing and damaging to the electric appliance.

Air Filter
Clean the air filter at least once every two weeks to prevent inferior fan operation due to dust accumulation. Take out the Air filter. Refer to Fig.2. Wash the air filter by immersing it gently in warm water with a neutral detergent. Rinse the filter and dry it in a shady place. Place the Air filter and Filter cover back into the unit.

Descaling
If the water tank was found scale inside, use neutral detergent and soft cloth to clean dirty surface, or use mild soap and a damp cloth.

Always check full product operation as detailed above before calling for assistance, unless there is damage to the power cord or plug – in this situation, stop using the product immediately. On humid days the unit may not appear to be cooling properly. This is due to the air already being saturated with water. Adding more water to the air will not result in pulling the air temperature down. In these conditions, it is advisable to operate the unit as a fan only to circulate room air.

Tips for better cooling

1. Your cooler requires a supply of fresh air. Place the cooler near an open window or leave the door to the room open. Then open another outside window or door on the opposite side of the room so that you create “flow through” ventilation. The cooler will not work properly in a closed room.
2. As an addition place the cooler near the entrance to the room. The cooler will draw cool air from other parts of the house and further bring down temperature.
3. Start your cooler when the room is still cool. You may leave it running all day. You will find that this system works best and keeps the room cooler.
4. Add cold water and ice to the water tank. Turn on the cool switch and the filter pad will become damp. The air is drawn in through back panel and across the filter pad to release cool clean air. It may take a few minutes for the pad to become saturated.
5. Since humidity changes from hour-to-hour and day-to-day, when it is too humid, you may use your cooler as a fan. Just turn cooler on but do not turn on cool button.
