GAUGE
16 sts = about 4 1/2 in. (11.5 cm) over Bubble pattern.

Bubble Pattern (worked over a multiple of 8 sts + 2 additional sts)
Row 1: With contrast color, k1, k3, wyib sl 2, k3; rep from to last st, k
last st.
Row 2: With contrast color, k1, p3, wyif sl 2, p3; rep from to last st, k
last st.
Rows 3-6: Rep Rows 1 and 2 twice..
Rows 7 and 8: With A, knit.
Row 9: With contrast color, k1, wyib sl 1, k6, wyib sl 1; rep from to last
st, k last
st.
Row 10: With contrast color, k1, wyif sl 1, p6, wyif sl 1; rep from to last
st, k last st.
Rows 11-14: Rep Rows 9 and 10 twice.
Rows 15 and 16: With A, knit.
NOTES

Blanket is worked in one piece, back and forth in rows.

A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches, work
back and forth in rows as if working with straight needles. -
With yarn in front (wyif) refers to the side of the work facing you as you work the row; with yarn in back (wyib) refers to the side of the work that is away from you as you work the row.

When the pattern tells you to slip a st, slip as if to purl.

Knitted borders are added to the long side edges and cast-on edge after Blanket is complete.

FIRST BUBBLE PATTERN SECTION
Rows 1-16: With B as contrast color, work Rows 1-16 of Bubble Pattern.
Rows 17-32: With C as contrast color, work Rows 1-16 of Bubble Pattern.
Rows 33-48: With D as contrast color, work Rows 1-16 of Bubble Pattern.
Rows 49-96: Rep Rows 1-48.
STOCKINETTE ST SECTION
Note: Stockinette st section is worked with A only.
Next Row: Knit.
Next Row: K1, p3, wyif sl 2, p3; rep from to last st, k1.
Next Row: Knit.
Next Row: K1, p to last st, k1.
Rep last 2 rows 53 times.
Knit 2 rows.
SECOND BUBBLE PATTERN SECTION
With B as contrast color, work Rows 1-6 of Bubble Pattern.
With A, work Rows 7 and 8 of Bubble Pattern.
With D as contrast color, work Rows 9-14 of Bubble Pattern.
With C as contrast color, work Rows 1-6 of Bubble Pattern.
With A, work Rows 7 and 8 of Bubble Pattern.
With B as contrast color, work Rows 9-14 of Bubble Pattern.
Continue with A only.
Knit 2 rows.
Bind off.
FINISHING
SIDE BORDERS
From RS with A, pick up and k about 3 sts for every 4 rows along one long side
edge of Blanket.
Knit 3 rows.
Bind off. Rep along other long side edge.
LOWER BORDER
From RS with A, pick up and k1 in each cast on st.
Knit 1 row.
Bind off.
