When set to the STD position, the splitter will transmit its built-in EDID settings of 1080p@60Hz with 2-channel LPCM audio to the source device. When set to the TV position, the splitter will read the EDID settings of the display connected to HDMI OUT 1 and will transmit that information to the source device.

EDID SETTINGS
The EDID switch on the front panel allows you to determine which EDID® information the splitter will transmit to the video source device.
If both of your displays are identical, it does not matter which display is connected to the HDMI OUT 1 port. However, if the two displays have different maximum resolutions, the display with the lowest maximum resolution should be connected to the HDMI OUT 1 connector.
