Thank you for purchasing the KWH-500 stereo headphones with Bluetooth® wireless technology. We encourage you to read this quick installation guide thoroughly to get the most of this innovative wireless device.

Button Function Operation instruction

MFB

| Power on| Press and hold this button for about 2-3 seconds to turn on the device. It will automatically enter into the Bluetooth® pairing mode.
Power off| Press and hold this button for about 2-3 seconds to turn off the device.
Play/Pause| Briefly press this button to play and pause media.
Redial the last
number called| Press this button twice to redial the last number called (on supported devices).
Hands-free mode – Voice dialing| Press and hold this button for about 1-2 seconds to turn ON the voice assistant function of the phone.*
Hands-free mode – Answering a call| Briefly press this button to answer an incoming call.
| Hands-Free mode – Hanging up a call| Briefly press this button to end a call.

  • It enables Google Assistant for Android phones and Siri for IOS phones.

5.LED indicator light

  • The blue LED will blink twice to indicate that the device is turned on.
  • The red LED will blink 3 times to indicate that the device is turning off.
  • An alternating red/blue LED indicates that the device has entered into the Bluetooth® pairing mode.
  • The blue LED will blink once every 10 seconds when the wireless connection has been established, as well as when playing some music or when a call is answered.
  • When the headphones are disconnected from the Bluetooth® pairing mode the blue and red LED will blink again.
  • The LED is solid red during charging. It will turn off when the battery is fully charged and it will blink when the battery needs charging.

Basic operation

Charge your headphones

  • Plug one end of the supplied micro-USB cable to your headphones micro-USB port and the other end into the USB port of your computer or to a 5VDC ≤
    500mA USB adapter to fully charge the battery.
    Note: Remember to charge your headphones once every two months if they haven’t been used for a long period of time. Please note that you will not be able to use your headphones, while they are being charged.

  • The headphones battery has to be initially charged for at least 3 hours.
    Thereafter, the battery will take about 2 hours to recharge.

  • Make sure that the headphones are fully charged before using it for the first time.

Auxiliary wired connection

  • Plug one end of the supplied 3.5mm cable to your headphones and the other end to the 3.5mm auxiliary port in your input source.
    Note: The buttons of the device are disabled in Aux. mode. The unit can work in Aux. mode even though the battery has no charge or if the device has been
    powered off. The Bluetooth® function will be inactive when the Aux. cable is plugged in. The unit will need to be powered ON again when the auxiliary cable
    is disconnected.

Advanced operation
Pairing the headphones with your mobile device

  1. Press and hold the Power/Multifunction switch on the left ear cup for about 2 seconds. The device will power on and a voice prompt will indicate that the device has automatically entered into the pairing mode. The LED light will blink alternatively blue and red.
  2. Next, set your Bluetooth® mobile device to “discover” the wireless headphones.
  3. Place both devices not more than one meter away from each other.
  4.  On your mobile phone, tap the newly discovered audio device KWH-500 being displayed in the Bluetooth® list.
  5. When the mobile device asks if you want to pair with it, click Yes or OK to accept.
  6. The LED light will turn blue to indicate that the Bluetooth® connection is successful.
  7. If after 60 seconds the pairing process fails, please repeat steps 1 through 6 described above.
  8. The headset will go automatically into standby mode after several minutes of inactivity.
  9. Turn off the headset when not in use to save battery power. “Power off” will be heard to confirm your selection.

Pairing two devices

  1. Follow the instructions above to pair the headphones with the first phone.
  2. Then, turn off the Bluetooth® function in the first phone.
  3. Once you disconnect the first paired phone, your headphones will automatically go back into pairing mode. The red and blue LED will blink alternatively after the device has been disconnected.
  4. On your second phone, search and select the newly discovered audio device ( KWH-500 ) being displayed in the Bluetooth ® list; the LED light will turn blue after the connection has been successful.
  5. Turn on the Bluetooth ® function on the first phone and pair it with your headphones.
  6. Your headphones are now connected to the two phones.
    Note: You will be able to play music or answer calls from one phone at a time.
    The two phones can’t work simultaneously.

Using the wireless headset

Answering and ending a call using your mobile phones

  1. When there is an incoming call, an alert tone will be heard through your headphones. Briefly press the Power/Multifunction switch to pick it up. You may also press the answer button on your cellular phone to take the call.
  2. To end a call, simply press the Power/Multifunction switch once again. Likewise, you may also finish the call directly using the end key on your cell phone.
  3. To reject or ignore an incoming call, press and hold the Power/Multifunction switch for about 1-2 seconds.
  4. If you want to redial the last number called, press the Power/Multifunction switch twice.

Music playback

  1. Briefly press the Power/Multifunction switch to play and stop audio.
  2. Press and hold the + and – buttons to go to the Next or Previous track.
  3. Press briefly the + and – buttons to increase or decrease the audio level on the headphones.
  4. When listening to music using your mobile phone, playback will pause to allow the call to go through.
  5. As soon as you hang up, music playback will resume automatically.

Frequently asked questions

a. How to reconnect your phone with the device when the connection has failed.
If the BT connection was not successful the first time, disconnect your mobile phone and try to connect again. The headphones will pair automatically as soon as you turn them on.
b. How to mute the microphone.
During a call, press and hold the Volume + and Volume – buttons for about 1 second at the same time to mute the microphone. Press and hold them again to unmute.
c . What is the password for the pairing?
Some devices require a password for pairing. You can try the following sequences: 0000 (four zeros), 8888 (four eights), 1111 (four ones), or 1234 (one, two, three, four), to see which one works.
d . Which devices can be used to charge your headphone?
Any car charger, power bank, PC, or any other device with a 5VDC ≤500mA charging current could be used to charge this item.
e. How to delete paired devices.

  1. Turn on the headphones, and proceed to disconnect the Bluetooth® mode from your mobile device.
  2. Press and hold the Power/Multifunction and Volumen+ buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds to delete previously paired devices; the blue and red LEDs will blink fast indicating that the unit has entered into the pairing process.
  3. To pair your headphones with the last mobile device previously disconnected click OK on the “ Bluetooth® pairing request ” that will be displayed on the screen.
