Reading and storing the assembly instructions

These assembly instructions accompany this 2 tier rolling garment rack (hereafter referred to as the “product”), and contain important information on setup and handling. Before using the product, read the assembly instructions carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or damage to the product.
Store the assembly instructions for further use. Make sure to include these assembly instructions when passing the product on to third parties.

Proper use

The product is exclusively designed for hanging up garments for easy storage. It is only intended for private use and not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the product as described in these assembly instructions. Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or persons. The product is not a toy for children.
The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damages or injury incurred through improper or incorrect use.

General safety instructions

WARNING!
Risk of injury!
If the product is assembled and set up and/or used wrongly, it
may cause personal injury.
− Do not use the product if there is any visible damage or any parts are defective.
− Only competent persons may set up the product.
− Only set up the product on flat, level surfaces; otherwise, there is a risk of unintended rolling and injury.
− Keep children away during assembly and disassembly. Small parts may cause choking if swallowed or inhaled.
− The product may only be used with adult supervision and cannot be used as a toy.
− Do not allow children to play with the product.
− Never lean, stand or climb on the product.
− Evenly distribute the load on the product so that it cannot overturn.
− Only use the product indoors. Do not use the product in damp rooms or in the rain or outdoors.
− Never store the product in a way such that there is a risk of  it falling over, or falling from an elevated position.
− Make sure all moveable parts are secured before use.
− Make sure that children do not play with the plastic wrapping. They may get caught in it when playing and suffocate.

Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.
− All individual components must be properly assembled before the product is used.
− Make sure the product is stable before use.
− Do not exceed the product’s load-bearing capacity of 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
− Install the product on an easily accessible, flat, dry, and sufficiently stable surface.
− Never place the product on or near hot surfaces such as ovens or heaters.
− Never immerse the product in water for cleaning. Follow the instructions in the chapter “Cleaning”, otherwise, the product may be damaged.
− Do not use the product if it is cracked, deformed, or broken. Dispose of the damaged product in accordance with the local, federal state, and country rules and regulations.

First use

Checking the product and package conten ts

NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or another pointed object, you may quickly damage the product.
− For this reason, be very careful when opening it.

Product assembly

  1. Take the product out of the packaging.
  2. Check to make sure that all parts are included (see Fig. A).
  3. Check whether the product or individual parts are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the product.

Basic cleaning

  1. Remove the packaging material and all plastic wrappings.
  2. Clean all parts of the product before first use as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Product assembly

WARNING!
Risk of injury!
If you are not careful when assembling and setting up this product, you may pinch your fingers, hands, and/or toes, or cause personal injury.
− The product has separate parts which must be assembled before use. The product also has moveable components which must be secured before use. Be careful and mindful of where you place your fingers and hands while assembling the product.
− Keep children and pets away from the product during assembly and disassembly.
− Be aware of the height of the product and the length of the extenders. You may accidentally injure yourself.

  1. Install the swivel castors 10 and swivel brake castors 11 under the bases 7 (see Fig. B).
    Engage the locking levers of the swivel brake castors to prevent unintended rolling during installation.

  2. Connect the bases together with the base bars 5 (see Fig. C).

  3. Insert the vertical bars 4 into the bases (see step 1 in Fig. D). Make sure the holes on the vertical bars are at the upper ends.

  4. Insert the lower hanging bar 3 into the T-connectors 8 and attach the T-connectors to the top of the vertical bars (see step 2 in Fig. D).

  5. Press the push buttons 12 on the vertical extenders 2 and insert the vertical extenders into the vertical bars (see Fig. E ).
    The ends with the pushbuttons should go inside the vertical bars. Lock the vertical extenders in place by letting the pushbuttons pop out from one of the holes on the vertical bars. Make sure that both vertical extenders are locked in place at the same height.

  6. Attach the T- connectors 8 to the two ends of the upper hanging bar 1 (see step 1 in Fig. F ).

  7. Attach the end caps 9 to one end of the horizontal extenders 6 (see step 2 in Fig. F ).

  8. Insert the other end of the horizontal extenders into the upper hanging bar through the T-connectors (see step 3 in Fig. F ).
    Flip up the locking levers on the T-connectors before inserting the horizontal extenders. Clamp down the levers to lock the horizontal extenders in place.

  9. Attach the T-connectors (with the upper hanging bar) to the top of the vertical extenders (see Fig. G ).
    You have successfully assembled the product.

− Use the castors to move the product to the desired indoor location. Engage the locking levers of the swivel brake castors to lock the product in place.
− To adjust the height of the upper hanging bar: Disengage the locking levers on the T-connectors, press the push buttons down and then raise or lower the vertical extenders. Make sure the pushbuttons pop out from one of the holes on the vertical bars and engage the levers again to lock the extenders in place (see step 1 in Fig. H ).
− To adjust the length of the horizontal extenders:
Disengage the locking levers on the T-connectors and slide the extenders inwards or outwards. Make sure the levers are engaged again to lock the extenders in place (see step 2 in Fig. H ).

Product disassembly

Reverse the steps in the chapter “Product assembly” to disassemble the product.

Cleaning

NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.
− Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as knives, hard scrapers, and the like.
They could damage the surfaces.

  1. Remove all garments and objects from the product.
  2. Use a damp cloth to wipe off the product.
  3.  Then let all parts dry completely.

Storage

All parts must be completely dry before being stored.
− Always store the product in a dry area.
− Protect the product from direct sunlight.
− Store the product so that it is not accessible to children.

Disposal

Disposing of the packaging

− Sort the packaging before you dispose of it. Dispose of paperboard and cardboard with the recycled paper service and wrappings with the appropriate collection service.

Disposing of the product

− Should the product no longer be capable of being used at some point in time, dispose of it in accordance with the regulations in force in your city or state.
− Please ensure your recycling information applies to local regulations and the EPA recommendations (www.epa.gov).
