  • Question: How Do I Clean My Humidifier?

Answer:

For routine cleaning and maintenance, select the appropriate cleaning video specific to your humidifier and refer to the directions below.

For evaporative humidifiers, it is important to replace the wicking filter every 30-60 days, depending on water quality and usage. To clean the humidifier:

Turn off and unplug humidifier.

Empty water from the tank and base of the unit.

Remove wicking filter.

Add vinegar to water tank, replace tank cap and place on base so vinegar drains into the reservoir.

Soak for 20 minutes. Use vinegar to wipe all interior surfaces and inside of tank with a soft cloth.

Empty vinegar and rinse until the smell of vinegar is gone.

Replace wicking filter with a new Genuine Honeywell Replacement Filter. [See below for correct filter]
