IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING When using this product, basic precautions should always be followed. Including the following:
- Save these instructions.
- Read all the instructions before using the product.
- To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when the product is used near children.
- Do not put fingers or hands into the product.
- Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by the power pack manufacture may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to person.
- To reduce the risk of damage to the electric plug, pull on the plug rather that the cords when disconnecting the power pack.
- Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhaust unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
- Do not operate the power pack with a damaged cord or plug.
- Do not disassemble the power pack, only a qualified service technician should service the product. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the power pack from the outlet before attempting any instructed servicing.
WARNING RISK OF EXPLOSIVE GASES
- WORKING IN THE VICINITY OF A LEAD ACID BATTERY IS DANGEROUS. BATTERIES GENERATE EXPLOSIVE GASES DURING NORMAL BATTERY OPERATION. FOR THIS REASON, IT IS THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE THAT YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EACH TIME YOU USE THE POWER PACK.
- To reduce the risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and those published by the battery manufacture and manufacture of any equipment you intend to use in the vicinity of the battery. Review all cautionary marking on these products and on engine.
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
- Consider having someone close enough by to come to your aid when working near lead-acid battery.
- Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts skin, clothing, or eyes.
- Wear complete eye protection and clothing protection. Avoid touching eyes while working near battery.
- If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water. If acid enters eye, immediately flood eye with cold water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention.
- NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame in vicinity of battery or engine.
- Be extra cautious to reduce the risk of dropping a metal tool onto the battery. It might spark or short-circuit battery or other electrical part that may cause explosion.
- Remove personnel metal items such as rings, bracelets, and watches when working with a lead-acid battery. A lead-acid battery can produce a short-circuit current high enough to weld a ring or the like to metal, causing severe burn.
WARNING
- When charging the internal battery, work in a well ventilated area and do not restrict ventilation in any way.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery, avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burn.
- Do not expose a power pack to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fore or temperature above 130°C may cause explosion.
- Have servicing performed by a qualified technician using only factory replacement parts.
- Attach output cables to the battery and chassis as indicted below. Never allow the output clamps to touch one another.
a) Check the battery level of the Jump Pack.
b) Insert the smart alligator clip connector into the end of the Jump Pack.
c) Connect the RED positive clip to the positive post on the battery, then the BLACK negative clip to the negative post on the battery.
d) If connected correctly the LED should turn green. Wait 5 to 10 seconds then start your vehicle.
e) Remove the clips immediately after the vehicle has started.
CAUTION
- Do not immerse in water.
- Do not use or store the VEHICLE JUMP STARTER near sources of fire or heater.
- Do not put the VEHICLE JUMP STARTER into a fire or apply direct heat to it.
- Do not pierce the VEHICLE JUMP STARTER casing.
- Do not strike, throw, or subject the VEHICLE JUMP STARTER to severe physical shock.
- Do not attempt to modify the VEHICLE JUMP STARTER in any way.
- Do not place the VEHICLE JUMP STARTER in a microwave oven or pressurized container.
- Do not use the VEHICLE JUMP STARTER if it gives off an odor or generates heat
- Do not insert any metal object into the cable input opening as this could cause a spark and electric shock.
- Do not use the VEHICLE JUMP STARTER as a battery charger or power supply.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
VEHICLE JUMP STARTER & PORTABLE POWER BANK FEATURES
JUMP STARTING A VEHICLE
- Before jump starting your particular vehicle always check the manufacturer instructions/ recommendations/warnings first.
- Check the battery level of the Vehicle Jump Pack by pressing the touch button before jump starting your vehicle. There must be a minimum of TWO (2) LED’s illuminated.
- Insert the smart alligator clip connector into the end of the Jump Pack.
- Connect the RED positive clip to the positive post on the battery, then the BLACK negative clip to the negative post on the battery.
- CAUTION: Ensure the Vehicle Jump Pack and smart alligator clip cables are clear of all vehicle fan blades/belts/pulleys etc. before proceeding.
- The LED on the smart alligator clips will then turn GREEN. Wait 5 to 10 seconds then start your vehicle.
- Remove the clips IMMEDIATELY after the vehicle has started. Black negative clamp first.
- DO NOT use the Vehicle Jump Starter to repeatedly try and start your vehicle. Wait at least thirty (30) seconds between attempts. Check vehicle after three attempts.
SMART ALLIGATOR CLIPS
The smart alligator clips contain a single Amber/Green LED along with a
warning
buzzer for Faults and Error protection:
- If connected correctly the LED on the smart alligator clips should turn green.
- Standby Mode – Clips are not connected – The Green LED Flashes.
- Vehicle battery voltage to LOW – Amber LED On, buzzer is beeping
- Vehicle battery voltage to HIGH – Amber LED On, buzzer On solid.
- Alligator clips connected to vehicle battery in reverse polarity. (Red clip to Black negative terminal, Black clip to Red positive terminal). Amber LED On, buzzer is beeping.
- Short circuit protection – Amber LED On, buzzer is beeping.
- Over heat protection – Amber LED is Flashing, buzzer is beeping.
CHARGING THE VEHICLE JUMP STARTER & PORTABLE POWER BANK

Use the supplied micro USB cable to charge the Vehicle Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank.
NOTE: While charging all of the other features and functions are NOT active. -
There are four (4) blue LED’s that show the state of charge of the internal
lithium battery. Simply press the touch button to activate these LED’s. -
Each LED shows a percentage of charge of the internal lithium battery.
a. 0% – 24% remaining LED 1 flashing.
b. 25% – 49% LED 1 solid, LED 2 flashing.
c. 50% – 74% LED 1 & 2 solid, LED 3 flashing.
d. 75% – 99% LED 1, 2 & 3 solid, LED 4 flashing.
e. 100% Charged, all of the LED’s are solid and will go into sleep mode
after 10 seconds. -
The battery level should be checked and charged every three (3) months.

DO NOT use any other charger to charge this Vehicle Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank.

Doing so can damage the internal battery and also be very dangerous.

When charging the internal battery, work in a well ventilated area and do not restrict ventilation in any way.
CAUTION
- The device shall be stored indoors and protected from the elements.
- The unit shall not be charged outdoors.
- When in use, steps should be taken to reduce the exposure to rain, sleet, snow, and the like.
USB PORTS
- There are three (3) USB ports contained in your Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank. Once your device is connected you must press the touch button to activate charging.
- Standard USB Output port – 5VDC/2.4Amp. Used to charge your cell phone, tablet etc.
- Type – C USB Input port – 5VDC/2Amp. This port is for charging your Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank. Only use the supplied cable to charge your Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank.
- Micro USB Input port – 5VDC/2Amp. This port is for charging your Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank. Only use the supplied cable to charge your Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank.
LED FLASH LIGHTS
- To turn the LED lights ON simply hold the Touch Button down for at least two (2) seconds.
- To turn the LED lights OFF hold the Touch Button down for at least two (2) seconds.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
- The battery level should be checked and the Vehicle Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank should be charged every three (3) months. Keeping the internal battery fully charged will ensure the Vehicle Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank in ready to use when needed. This will also extend the life of the internal battery.
- Store the Vehicle Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank in a clean dry environment at room temperature if possible.
- If you see a bulge in the case or notice a chemical smell STOP using the Vehicle Jump Starter & Portable Power Pack immediately and seek technical help.

The Battery Tender® Jump Starter & Portable Power Pack comes with a twelve (12) month limited warranty against defects or failure (within one (1) year of purchase).
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS VOID under the following conditions:
- The product is misused, subjected to careless handling, or operated under conditions of extreme temperature, shock, or vibration beyond our recommendations for safe and effective use.
- The product is disassembled or repaired by anyone who is not an authorized service representative of Battery Tender®
- The product was purchased from an unauthorized source. Warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.
- Any physical damage to any of components or any accessory after purchase.
- Any modifications to any of the components.
- Any corrosion including salt water.
