PERSONNEL PRECAUTIONS

1.  Consider having someone close enough by to come to your aid when working near lead-acid battery.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

JUMP STARTER & PORTABLE POWER PACK FEATURES

USB CABLE CONNECTIONS FOR CHARGING

JUMP STARTING A VEHICLE

• Before jump starting your particular vehicle always check the manufacturer instructions/recommendations/warnings
• Check the battery level of the Vehicle Jump Pack by pressing the touch button before jump starting your vehicle. There must be a minimum of TWO (2) LED’s ****
• Insert the smart alligator clip connector or the ring terminal harness connector into the receptacle on the end Jump Pack (Car with hood open symbol).
• Connect the RED positive clip to the positive post on the battery, then the BLACK negative clip to the negative post on the
• CAUTION: Ensure the Vehicle Jump Pack and smart alligator clip cables are clear of all vehicle fan blades/belts/pulleys  before proceeding.
• The LED on the smart alligator clips will then turn  Wait 5 to 10 seconds then start your vehicle.
• Remove the clips  IMMEDIATELY **** after the vehicle has  Black negative clamp first.

SMART ALLIGATOR CLIPS

The smart alligator clips contain a single Amber/Green LED along with a warning buzzer for Faults and Error protection:

• If correctly connected the LED on the smart alligator clips should turn green.

• Standby Mode – Clips are not connected – The Green LED

• Vehicle battery voltage to LOW – Amber LED On, buzzer is beeping

• Vehicle battery voltage to HIGH – Amber LED On, buzzer On

• Alligator clips connected to vehicle battery in reverse  (Red clip to Black negative terminal, Black clip to Red positive terminal). Amber LED On, buzzer is beeping.

RING TERMINAL WIRE HARNESS

Use this harness to connect directly to your battery.

• Connect the RED ring terminal to the POSITIVE battery
• Connect the BLACK ring terminal to the NEGATIVE battery

WARNING:**** If you connect the ring terminals to the battery in reverse polarity.

• DO NOT **** plug the ring terminal harness into the jump pack until it is connected to the battery
• Securethe control box with the Battery Tender® logo using the mounting slots.
• Route the wiring so that you have easy access to the
• Whena jump start is required simply plug the connector directly into the receptacle on the end Jump Pack (Car with hood open symbol).

CHARGING THE VEHICLE JUMP STARTER AND PORTABLE POWER PACK

• Use the supplied micro USB cable to charge the Vehicle Jump Starter & Portable Power

NOTE: While charging all the other features and functions are NOT active.

• There are four (4) blue LED’s that show the state of charge of the internal lithium  Simply press the touch button to activate these LED’s.
• Each LED shows a percentage of charge of the internal lithium

LED FLASHLIGHT

• Toturn the LED lights ON simply hold the Touch Button down for at least two (2)
• Toturn the LED lights OFF hold the Touch Button down for at least two (2) seconds.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

• The battery level should be checked, and the Vehicle Jump Starter & PortablePower Bank should be charged every three (3)  Keeping the internal battery fully charged will ensure the Vehicle Jump Starter & Portable Power Bank in ready to use when needed. This will also extend the life of the internal battery.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

The vehicle will not start

| Check the connection of the alligator clips to the battery terminals and ensure the LED is solid green and not flashing on the smart alligator clips.

Ensure you have a minimum of two blue LED’s illuminated.

Vehicle battery voltage to low

| After connecting the smart alligator clips wait a couple of minutes before attempting to start the vehicle.
Vehicle Jump Pack & Portable Power Bank will not charge| Check the cable and connection and try charging a different device.
