Bali Blinds and Shades for Bay or Corner Windows
This measuring guide will help you to accurately measure for Bay or Corner Windows. For Flush Mount Bay or Corner Windows, refer to the standard measuring guides, specific to your blinds or shades.
Blinds or shades ordered as Bay or Corner Windows will have manufacturing deductions taken off of the ordered width for proper fit. Refer to the standard measuring guides, specific to your blinds or shades, for how to determine your mount type and correctly measure shade height. Refer to the following instructions for measuring shade width and the additional information needed to ensure your Bay or Corner shades are manufactured correctly.
Tools and Tips
- Steel tape measure — do not use cloth measuring tape
- Pencil
- Measurement Worksheet – see page 3
- Measure each window and identify window locations – size variances are common
- Round measurements to the nearest 1⁄8″
- Clearly record measurements – width vs. height
- To measure an angle – Use a protractor or angle finder to measure angles. Two business cards can also be used as templates (see instructions on page 2).
Double-check your work—always measure twice to ensure accuracy.
Corner Window
Measure:
Measure width of each window from corner of walls to the point you would like
to cover (A & B). Record measurement.
If corner is not 90°, angle measurement must be indicated.
NOTE: Measure bay angle using a protractor or angle finder, or use two
business cards in corner as illustrated below and fax to customer service.
Manufacturers will take appropriate deductions for proper fit.
Depending on the angle, some corner blinds cannot be raised to the same
height. Horizontal slat alignment between blinds cannot be guaranteed
Three-sided Bay Window
Measure:
A & C: Width of side windows from the corners to the point you would like
the blind to cover.
B: Width of the center window from corner to corner.
Angle A-B: Angle between windows (A) and (B).
Angle B-C: Angle between windows (B) and (C).
NOTE: Measure bay angle using protractor or angle finder, or use two
business cards in corner as illustrated below and fax to customer service.
Manufacturer will take appropriate deductions for proper fit.

Four-sided Bay Window
Measure:
A & D: Width of side windows from the corners to the point you would like
the blind to cover.
B & C: Width of each window from corner to corner.
Angle A-B: Angle between windows (A) and (B).
Angle B-C: Angle between windows (B) and (C).
Angle C-D: Angle between windows (C) and (D).

Five-sided Bay Window
Measure:
A & E: Width of side windows from the corners to the point you would like
the blind to cover.
B, C & D: Width of each center window from corner to corner.
Angle A-B: Angle between windows (A) and (B).
Angle B-C: Angle between windows (B) and (C).
Angle C-D: Angle between windows (C) and (D).
Angle D-E: Angle between windows (D) and (E).

Measuring Angle with Business Cards
- You will need two business cards, a piece of paper and a pencil.
- Place paper on the floor at the corner of the angle to be measured.
- Place business cards on top of paper.
- Align one business card to each wall, overlapping at the corner.
- Trace angle created by cards on paper below.
- Fax or email template to Customer Service.
Ordering

Corner and Bay window treatments are made as individual blinds.
Each blind has independent headrail and controls.
Control locations can be on the right or left side of each blind (opposite corners recommended). -
Identify each window location (left,center and right for bay, left and right location for corner) and distinguish each blind as bypass or butt. Bypass is the blind mounted into the corner. Butt is the blind butted up to the other blind.
