PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The RMC series of marine speakers by Rockville are a major upgrade to our old RMS series. Don’t get me wrong we loved our old series, but we strive for perfection. We wanted a speaker that is more durable, more water resistant, can handle more power, and put out better sound quality!
As always we sent our team on a speaker-hunting adventure. We tested countless prototypes until the RMC series was born. We ended up with a speaker that has a lot more bass and mids than any other speaker on the market at this price point. This speaker will destroy all those cheap dual cone speakers, and it will compete with top branded marine speakers on the market today!
These speakers are completely waterproof and protected from the elements! They are UV treated and have a special waterproof coating to prevent water damage.
Rockville engineers care about quality and sound more than anything else. The RMC80B was designed in a molded ABS plastic basket. The polypropylene cone is reliable and sounds great. This material is used on most of the top speakers on the market. We use rubber surrounds on these to eliminate unwanted distortion. In addition rubber is a very waterproof material. The ½” polymer tweeter puts out incredible sounding highs. The low end bass and mids of these speakers really makes them stand out.
The RMC80B 8″ marine speakers were engineered to deliver amazing power and sound quality in the outdoors; be it saltwater, freshwater or any other harsh environments. These speakers can withstand tons of abuse and can handle 400 watts peak and 100 watts RMS each. These Rockville speakers comply with the CEA 2031 Loud Speaker Standard. This same rating standard is used by the highest end marine brands in the industry. CEA compliant means you can rest assured that the ratings are 100% legitimate.

FAQs

What qualities should a Rockville Rmc80b marine speaker have?****

For marine applications, you need a speaker system that sounds well at high volume. Consider making an investment in speakers for ships that have superior sensitivity, durability, and power handling.

Coaxial Rockville RMC80b maritime speakers: what are they?****

Two-way, or coaxial, speakers contain a second tweeter located inside the woofer in order to handle the high frequencies and accurately recreate the sound range of your music. Three-way, or triaxial, speakers combine a midrange driver with a separate woofer and tweeter for increased depth and realism.

Do Rockville Rmc80b maritime speakers require an amplifier?****

Amplification is a common feature of marine stereos, some of which are very potent. It is definitely possible to produce good sound without an external amplifier. The majority of the time, you can test your stereo without an amplifier first because you can almost always install one later.

What makes a Rockville Rmc80b marine speaker unique?****

The speakers that are best suited for usage in water are known as marine speakers. They are frequently water-resistant in addition to being more robust. The different exposures to moisture, climate, and weather are what marine speakers are made to withstand.

Can Rockville Rmc80b marine speakers get wet?****

Marine surroundings can withstand products that are Marine Rated or Marine Grade. Marine grade parts can be exposed to rain, wind, and the sun (although not necessarily submersion). When a little water is splashed on them, they won’t burn because they can survive high ambient temperatures.

How long do Rockville Rmc80b marine speakers last?****

Speakers called “marine” are designed specifically for use aboard boats. They will survive the elements thanks to careful testing.

What is the construction of Rockville RMC80B marine speakers?****

Sea speakers are built with sturdy materials to ensure their durability in the more demanding marine environment. They are comprised of special plastic and stainless steel components to endure the elements and to withstand unexpected temperature changes.

A Rockville Rmc80b two-way marine speaker is what?****

Two-way, or coaxial, speakers contain a second tweeter located inside the woofer in order to handle the high frequencies and accurately recreate the sound range of your music. Three-way, or triaxial, speakers combine a midrange driver with a separate woofer and tweeter for increased depth and realism.

Rockville Rmc80b marine speakers: where do they go?****

You should always install your full range speakers as high as possible for the best sound quality. Do not mount them underneath seats or close to your feet. On larger vessels and other places where it is feasible, you should consider putting speakers over your head. Subwoofers, on the other hand, are the complete opposite.

What are the applications for Rockville RMC80B marine speakers?****

The marine audio system, which is used to play music on boats, consists of a number of speakers, amplifiers, and other gadgets.

Look for speakers with plastic cones, such as those with polypropylene and neoprene rubber surrounds, for effective weather protection.
