INTRODUCTION
The Dr Trust Anti Decubitus Air Mattress Bubble — 301 is a medical device intended to be used as an air support surface system for the prevention and treatment of bedsores resulting from prolonged pressure on the skin. It comes with a well-powered pump that inflates and deflates the mattress with zero fuss. The pump is highly efficient and works quietly with a small size compressor. The mattress is strategically designed for long-lasting performance by using PVC 0.32 mm material which is durable and lightweight. The continuous inflation and deflation process lessen the pressure on patients’ skin and prevent the development of pressure ulcers. Through a simple to use control button, it is easy to set the level of pressure as per the patients comfort. It can maximally be loaded with 135 kg.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The bed-type medical mattress relieves pressure by sequentially deflating and inflating alternate air cells. The continuous movement supplied by the unit lessens the areas of constant pressure and enhances circulation.
- Alternating the pressure at a sufficient rhythm avoids prolonged vascular compression which is likely to cause tissue hypoxia.
- Alternating pressure adapts the mattress to the patient’s and their position.
GUIDELINES FOR USE
The traditionally accepted method of pressure sore control is to turn the bedridden patient at regular intervals and to observe the areas of risk regularly. Alternating pressure mattress is intended to compliment this treatment, observation of the patient and turning when necessary should still I be considered as part of the treatment
General Use
Dr. Trust Air Mattress is designed to cure bedsores in patients with prolonged
bed rest. Its alternating pressure relief bubble pad system refrains a
patient’s muscle from the long-term pressure and prevents skin breakdown. Its
durability makes it ideal not only for home use but also for hospitals
- For patients who are likely to spend more than hours per day in bed.
- For patients who are classed as medium to high risk of developing pressure ulcers.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES
- Adult supervision is needed to avoid serious injury during inflation, deflation, and maintenance of air mattress
- This is an electrical product so it should not be placed where small children can reach it.
- Do not use the pump in or around water to avoid the risk of fire, burns, injury, and shock.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced immediately to avoid a hazard.
- Pump is not intended for continuous use. It may stop working or overheat if it is used for an extended period.
- Once the pump is overheated, let it rest for 30 minutes for restart.
- Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or service the pump.
- Keep the electric pump of the air mattress on for 23 hours and keep it off for 1 hour.

- Do not use the air mattress near an open flame or very near to a heater.
- Keep sharp objects away from the air mattress.
- Do not twist and bend the mattress
- Maximum weight-bearing capacity is 135 kg; therefore, the attendants should not sit on the air mattress as this will cause the mattress to leak.
