Introduction

Thank you for choosing the EFM® True Wireless Stereo Detroit Earbuds! You can use this product with all iOS and Android compatible Bluetooth® devices to stream music and enjoy handsfree calling. In order to get the best results when using this product, please read this manual first.

CHARGING YOUR EARBUDS

Fully charge the battery for 2-3 hours before using the earbuds for the first time, or when they have been unused for extended periods.

Put the earbuds into the charging pod, they will charge automatically. The indicators on each earbud will light up green, and the charging pod indicator will light up white for 5 seconds. When the earbuds are fully  charged, the indicator lights will turn off.

CHARGING YOUR EARBUDS POD

Method 1: Charging by Cable
When the charging pod is connected to a charger (or computer USB port) via a charging cable, the indicator light will flash orange. When the charging pod is fully charged, the indicator will light up orange.
Charging Instructions

Method 2: Charging by Wireless Charger
Place the charging pod on the wireless charger, the indicator light on the charging pod will flash orange, once it’s fully charged the indicator will will light up orange.

NOTE: When the charging pod is out of battery, the earbuds will  not turn on/off automatically when removed from or placed back into the charging pod. In this case, turn the earbuds on/off manually.

AUTOMATIC ON/OFF

Auto On: When removed from the charging pod, the earbuds will automatically turn on.
Auto Off: When placed back into the charging pod, the earbuds will automatically turn off.
Powering Off

Auto Power-Off:
Put the left and right earbuds back into the charging pod, the earbuds will automatically power off.

Manual Power-Off:

  1. Touch the MFB for 8 secs on both earbuds to manually turn them off.
  2. The earbuds will automatically turn off when not paired for 10mins.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING

Pairing Individual Earbuds: The left and right earbuds will automatically pair once removed from the charging pod.

Pairing Earbuds & Device: Once removed from the charging pod, the right earbud will enter into pairing mode automatically as indicated by flashing green lights that will stop when the earbuds are connected. While in pairing mode, select ‘EFMTWS Detroit’ from the Bluetooth menu on your device.

Auto Power-On & Pairing
Take the earbuds out of charging pod, the earbuds will automatically power on and enter into pairing mode.

Manual Power-On & Pairing
Touch the MFB for 2 secs on both earbuds to power them on. (You will hear the prompt tone). The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.

Connecting Via Bluetooth
Turn on the device’s Bluetooth setting. Search for and choose ‘EFMTWS Detroit’ to pair, your device will show “connected”.

CALL CONTROLS (L/R BUTTON)

  • Tap MFB (L/R) once to receive an incoming call
  • Double tap MFB (L/R) to hang up during a call
  • Hold MFB (L/R) for 2 seconds to reject an incoming call

MUSIC CONTROLS

  • Hold MFB for 2-3 seconds (L) for previous song

  • Double tap MFB (L/R) to play/pause music

  • Hold MFB for 2-3 seconds (R) for next song

  • Tap MFB once (L) to decrease volume

  • Tap MFB once (R) to increase volume

VOICE ASSISTANT

Triple tap MFB to activate on Left or Right Earbud

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

EFM® warrants that its products are free from defects in materials or workmanship for up to 2 years from the date of purchase EFM® will repair or replace any product which is defective in materials or workmanship at no charge to the customer (for parts or labour). The customer is responsible for any transportation costs.

This warranty does not cover or apply to any damage or defects caused by the incorrect installation of the IPX4 product, through your modification of the IPX4 product, cosmetic damage, damage caused by accident, or damage caused by abuse or improper use of your IPX4 product, including using the IPX4 product in environments where the relevant IP rating limitations are exceeded. This warranty does not apply to any consequential loss or damages which may be incurred through your use of the IPX4 product, including but not limited to damage of any nature caused to any products used in conjunction with the IPX4 product.

Please do not expose your IPX4 product to chlorinated water. Over time, chlorinated water can corrode the rubber seals on the IPX4 product. Accordingly, prolonged use in chlorinated water is not recommended.

To claim under the warranty, you need to return the faulty EFM® product to the place of purchase (at your expense) with a valid proof of purchase. If you are not able to return the product to the place of purchase, please fill out a Warranty Claim Form on myefm.com/warranty-support and follow the prompts.
