General Safety Information

WARNING: Read all instructions before attempting to operate this unit. Keep the assembly instructions for future reference. Keep the original packaging for use when storing the heater during extended periods of non-use.

  1. This heater will get hot when in use. Do not touch hot surfaces.

  2. Caution: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns.

  3. Do not move the unit when in use. Wait until the heater is completely cool before moving and check that it has been unplugged from the power supply.

  4. Keep combustible material such as furniture, papers, clothes, curtains, bedding cloths, papers, trees, leaves, dry grass and bushes at least 3 ft (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and away from the sides and rear.

  5. The heater must be a minimum of 6ft (1.8m) away from the ground and a minimum of 1.5ft ( 0.5m ) away from the ceiling of a building or overhanging items.

  6. Never install your heater on a combustible surface.
    Do NOT mount on plastic or vinyl.

  7. The heater must not face with the heating element pointing upwards towards a ceiling. The heater element must be facing the area it is to heat.

  8. In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater. Do not put any blankets, articles of clothing, or other flammable material covering the heater.

  9. Keep children and pets a minimum of 1.5ft away from the heater.

  10. Supervision is needed when this product is used anywhere near children. The heater is not intended for use by children or other persons without assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent them from using it safely.

  11. Do not operate the heater if there are any signs of damage or malfunction of the heater.

  12. Do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this heater. The unit does not contain any user serviceable parts. Only a qualified electrician should perform servicing or repairs.

  13. In case the power cord is damaged call Customer Service.

  14. Do not handle the element with bare hands. If it is inadvertently touched, remove finger marks with a soft cloth and methylated spirits or alcohol, otherwise the marks will burn into the element causing premature heater failure.

  15. Do not replace or attempt to replace the infrared heating element in this product.

  16. This product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry rooms, or other similar indoor areas. Never locate heater where it could fall into a bathtub, swimming pool, or other water container.

  17. Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands or feet.

  18. Do not run the power cable under carpeting. Do not cover the power cable with rugs, runner, or similar coverings. Arrange the power cable away from foot traffic and where it will not be tripped over.

  19. Do not wind the power cable around the heater.

  20. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or opening on the heater, as this may result in electric shock, fire, or damage to the heater.

  21. To prevent a possible fire, do not block the air vents.

  22. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, explosive and/or flammable liquids are used or stored. Keep unit away from heated surfaces and open flames.

  23. Where possible, avoid the use of an extension cord as this may overheat and cause a fire.

  24. Always ensure the heater is plugged into a suitable socket, one that is tested for outdoor use.

  25. To disconnect heater, tum controls to OFF, then remove plug from socket. Do not unplug by pulling on the power cord.

  26. Always unplug the unit and ensure the unit is completely cold before moving, cleaning or storing.

  27. This heater is intended for domestic use only. For commercial use, please consult an electrician.

  28. The use of attachments on the heater is not recommended.

  29. Warning: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when occupied by people or pets not capable of leaving a room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

  30. Check exterior walls for areas of damage before installing the heater.

  31. Always use on a dry, suitably strong, stable, flat and level surface.

  32. Check exterior walls for communication and electrical cables and pipelines. Should any service lines be present in the immediate vicinity do not install your heater, find an alternative location to install this product.

  33. Do not position directly above or below an electrical socket/outlet.

  34. Do not remove any of the warning stickers or signs from the product.

INSTALLING YOUR HEATER:

Before installation please make sure:

  1. This heater should be handled gently during installation and while cleaning.
  2. Do not install in an acidic or alkaline environment.
  3. The heater must be grounded
  4. The installer is required to check the product brand mark on the voltage and check that the local voltage is appropriate.
  5. Ensure the power rating has sufficient current carrying capacity.

NOTE: Any electrical wiring for the heater that has to be done should be completed by a qualified specialist.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Check the installation site:
    For safety, the product should be installed at least 6 ft. (1.8m) above the ground. It should be installed at least 18″ away from ceiling or roof, and should be at least 18″ from a wall or structure to the left and the right of the mounted heater. (Fig. 1)Installation

  2. Using a drill, make three 8mm round holes (fig 2.) and insert 3 plastic wall anchors into the holes (fig 3). The two wall brackets should be screwed into the wall at an appropriate distance so that they can attach to the brackets on the heater.Installation 2

  3. Using the screws provided, screw the wall brackets into the brackets on the heater, using a nut to tighten. Be sure to adjust the heater angle before tightening the screws so that the heat is directed to the area being heated. (Fig 4 and Fig 5).Installation 3

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

Manual Operation

Use the rocker power switch on right side to control power on/off (Fig. 6)

Remote Control Operation
  1. On I Off – Switches the heater on or off or puts it in standby mode.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:

Maintenance

Attention! Careful and regular maintenance of your infrared heater will ensure it remains in good condition for years to come.

  1. Take off the front grid. Check the reflector and Infrared filament for dirt and dust once a month. If dirt or dust is present, clean according to instructions.
  2. Inspect the wire grille, heater body, reflector, power cord and plug periodically. In case of damage or defect, consult an electrician.
LIMITED WARRANTY

This unit is guaranteed to the original retail purchaser against defects in quality or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. If this unit fails because of a manufacturing defect within 30 days of purchase, return the unit, with your receipt, to the retailer. After 30 days, but within the warranty period, if the unit was purchased within the continental United States, return it, freight prepaid, to World and Main for repair or replacement. If the unit was purchased outside the continental United States, return the unit to the place of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, overheating or alteration. Repairs made by anyone other than World and Main are not covered in this warranty. World and Main will not be held liable for any losses due to neglectful operation. All implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and of fitness of purpose, if applicable, are hereby limited in duration to the period of one year from the date of original retail purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. Incidental or consequential damages arising from a breach of either express or implied warranties are hereby disclaimed and excluded. Some states do not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Upon the expiration of this warranty all such liability will terminate. No other warranties are expressed or implied.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. No informal dispute settlement mechanisms are available. This limited warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties.
