QUICK START BATTERY INSTALLATION

Before playing an ADULT must install fresh alkaline batteries in the Engine. Here’s how:

  1. Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) unscrew the screw on the battery compartment cover. (Fig. 1)

  2. Using a slotted screwdriver (not included) pry the battery cover open and remove it. (Fig. 2)

  3. Install four (4) fresh 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (not included) in the Engine making sure the (+) and (-) ends face the proper direction as indicated inside the battery compartment. (Fig. 3)

  4. Fit the tabs on the bottom of the battery cover into the slot at the bottom of the battery compartment. (Fig. 4)

  5. Close the compartment cover and hold it firmly while screwing the compartment shut. (Fig. 5)

GET READY TO TUMBLE!

  1. Place assembled track in a large, open space.
  2. With Engine Power off, an adult must place the Engine onto the track (see page 6).
  3. Choose REGULAR TRAVEL MODE (1) for Engine travel direction. (see page 3)
  4. Move Engine Power switch to Vol 1 or Vol 2 for preferred sound volume.
  5. Move fingers, hair and loose clothing away from track. Then press the Engine smokestack to start the Engine moving forward, climbing and tumbling in all directions.
  6. For even more fun, with Engine Power off, choose FUN TRAIN MODE (2) and then press the top of the smokestack. The engine will climb and tumble, then reverse directions without warning.

DO NOT PLACE FINGERS IN FRONT OF THE MOVING TRAIN OR INSIDE THE TRACK RAILS AT ANY TIME.

PLACING ENGINE ON TRACK

IMPORTANT: An adult must place the engine on the track.

UNDERSIDE OF ENGINE

With Engine power OFF an adult must place Engine on track by doing one of the following:

  • Squeeze the track slightly and fit the Rail Lip Edges under the engine guides as shown. Then release the track.
    OR

  • Before the last two track sections are snapped together, slide the Engine onto the track as shown, then snap the final track pieces together.

With Power Switch in OFF position, an adult must place train on track, then move the switch to (1) for REGULAR TRAVEL MODE.
(Engine will continually move forward in this Mode when engine Power Switch is engaged.)

With Power Switch in OFF position, an adult must place train on track, then move the switch to (2) for FUN TRAIN MODE. (Engine will reverse directions in this Mode when engine Power Switch is engaged.)

  1. Place F over M, then press together to snap tabs firmly into openings.
    Each track has a number with either an “m” or “f.” When assembling, make sure to attach the “m” with the “f.”
    NOTE: Rail edges have a tab or slot so they secure in place when snapped together.

  2. Track sections correctly linked together.

  1. Connect the Curved Track pieces by connecting 2m with 1f. Repeat for the remaining short and long Curved Tracks. Then, connect the second Curved Track by connecting 4f with 3m. Repeat for the remaining short and long Curved Tracks.

  2. Add the Track Connectors. Snap the pegs on top of the short and long Curved Tracks into the openings on the Track Connector. Make sure the tracks curve towards the outside. Repeat this for the second Track Connector and Curved Tracks.

  3. Connect the Straight Tracks to the Curved Tracks. Match the numbers on the Curved Tracks with the numbers on the Straight Tracks, as shown in the image. Before attaching the bottom Curved Tracks and closing the loop, make sure to insert the Train Engine. Follow the steps on 6 for correct installation.

NOTE: When disassembling unit for storage, squeeze tabbed portion of track to release tabs from openings.
To disassemble the Track Connector, lift up the tabs on each side.
IMPORTANT: To maintain track for optimal performance, always disassemble and store after use.

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Use only size “AA” (LR6) alkaline batteries (4 required).
  • Charging of rechargeable batteries should only be done under adult supervision.
  • Remove rechargeable batteries from the product before recharging.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
  • Be sure to insert the batteries correctly and follow the toy and battery manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Always remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product.
  • Dispose of dead batteries properly: do not burn or bury them.
  • Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Avoid short-circuiting battery terminals.
  • Remove batteries before placing the unit into storage for a prolonged period of time.
