Basic operations

General
Power ON / OFF| Hold for about 3s

Pair and connect

  1. Set headset to PAIRING MODE – From of status, hold for about 5 seconds until LED flashes BLUE and RED alternately. (Fig.1)
    (Note: For first-time use, it will enter pairing mode automatically after power on.)

  2. Activate Bluetooth on your device, search and select “Avantree NB16” to connect. Once connected, LED will flash BLUE twice every 5s, you will hear a voice prompt “Your device is connected”. (Fig.2-4)

Reconnect

Normally, when turning the headset on, it will automatically reconnect to the last paired device. Otherwise, please click once or connect it on the phone manually. (Fig.5-6)

To add another device

  1. Turn of the Bluetooth of the first device.

  2. Repeat steps in “Pair and connect” part to add the second device.Fig.7-9)

  3. Turn on the Bluetooth of the first device, it will automatically reconnect. Otherwise, please connect it to the phone manually. (Fig.10-11)

Note: it only works for two mobile devices, such as mobile phones and tablets, not for PC and Bluetooth transmitters.

Charging

When the LED flashes red every 10s and you hear a voice prompt “low battery”, you should fully recharge the device for about 2 hours. The LED will remain red while charging and turn of when charging is complete. (Fig.12)
You can plug it into a USB wall charger (DC 5V / 0.5-2A) or computer USB port that is powered on.( Fig.12)

Clear the headphones pairing history

Make sure NB16 is powered on. Press and hold and together for about 5s, until LED lights on blue and red simultaneously for about 2s (looks pink). It will power of thereafter. (Fig.14-15)

Troubleshooting

  • No sound with PC?
    – Set Avantree NB16 as the default device or output device on the PC. (Fig.16)

  • No sound with Bluetooth transmitter to watching TV?
    – Check audio source is properly
    • AUX & RCA output on TV – tested by wired headphones
    • OPT output on TV – Set audio format to “PCM/LPCM” or turn of Dolby/DTS Change your TV audio out setting to External speakers / Headset.
    – Ensure Bluetooth transmitter and headphones are connected properly.

  • Headphones do not pair with Bluetooth device
    – Ensure NB16 is in Pairing mode correctly – LED will flash BLUE and RED alternately.
    – For Bluetooth transmitter, please ensure the transmitter is in Pairing mode – refer to its user manual.
    – For smartphones, tablets and PC
    • Turn the Bluetooth feature off and then on.
    • Delete your Avantree NB16 headphones from the Bluetooth list on your device. Try to pair it again. (Fig.18-19)
    • Clear the headphones pairing history
    • Please charge it for reset
