Before using the battery charger, read and follow:

Safety instructions for Li-ion batteries
- Do not open the battery. There is a risk of a short-circuit.
- Protect the battery from heat, e.g. from continuous exposure to sunlight, fire, water, and humidity. There is a risk of explosion.
- In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapors may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek medical help in the case of inhalation. The vapors can irritate the respiratory system.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush the affected area with water. If liquid contacts eyes seek medical help in addition. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
- Use only original batteries with the voltage indicated on the rating plate of your electric power tool. If other batteries are used, e.g. imitations reconditioned batteries or third-party products, there is a risk of injuries as well as damage caused by exploding batteries.
- The battery voltage must match the battery charging voltage of the battery charger to avoid the risk of fire and explosion.
- Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Pointed objects, such as nails or screw-drivers or external forces may damage the battery. This may cause an internal short-circuit and the battery to burn, smoke, explode or overheat.

When the battery is inserted

OPERATION
CAUTION:
- Never charge batteries at temperatures below 0°C or above 50°C.
- Do not charge batteries in an environment that has high air humidity or at a high ambient temperature.
- Do not cover batteries and/or the battery charger during the charging process.
- Use only original batteries in the supplied battery charger.
Charging process
Note: The battery and charger will heat up slightly during the charging
process. This is perfectly normal.

Plug the charger into the power outlet. The LED will illuminate solid green.

Insert the battery into the charger.

The LED will illuminate red and the battery will be charged.

When the battery is fully charged, the LED will illuminate green.

To remove, press the release button (1) and pull out the battery (2).

Pull out the main plug from the power outlet. Information to ensure a long battery service life The battery and charger will heat up during the charging process. This is perfectly normal. The best charging practice is to fully discharge the battery prior to charging. Let the charging process run until its completion. If the batteries are not used for a prolonged period, store batteries fully charged and in a cool location (10°C-25°C).
Note: Reduced operating times after recharging indicates that the battery is worn out. The battery must then be replaced.
CLEANING & CARE
WARNING: Before performing any work, pull out the main plug from the power outlet. Do not use water or liquid detergents for cleaning.

- Remove dirt and dust from the housing with a paintbrush or dry cloth.
Storage
- Store the charger in a dry and frost-free place (-10°C-55°C).
- Store the battery and the charger separately.

- Repairs should only be carried out by kogan.com or an authorized service agent.
