FAQS

Why doesn’t my Wi-Fi show up when connected to Wi-Fi?
There could be a few reasons why the camera is not connecting to your home network. First, it is possible that your home network does not support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or that the security mode of your Wi-Fi setting is incompatible with the camera. To resolve this issue, ensure that your home network is 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (as 5 GHz Wi-Fi is incompatible), and set the Wi-Fi to a security mode below WPA2-PSK (a password is required). The second reason could be because the necessary permissions required by the app have not been enabled. It is important to grant the permission requested by the app and to not close it during the use of the app, as doing so could prevent the camera from being added and used normally.

How do I invite family and friends to use my camera?
To share your X-Sense Home Security camera with others, tap the camera sharing button on the app’s homepage to display a QR code on your phone. Your friend/family member can then install the app, go to “Account,” tap “Add Friend’s Camera,” then scan the QR code on your phone screen to add your camera to their account. Your friend can save the QR code screenshot to their album and use it to scan and add your camera.

How far should the camera be installed from the router?
The transmission distance between the camera and the router can reach 656 ft (200 m) in open air, but this distance may vary depending on Wi-Fi signal, strength, and environmental factors such as walls and metal objects that can block the signal. If your camera’s connection signal is weak or unstable, it is recommended to install the camera as close as possible to the router.

Does the camera glow red during night vision?
The device is equipped with built-in infrared LEDs that emit a faint red light when the night vision mode is turned on, allowing for video recording in dark or low-light environments.

What is the maximum length of video that can be recorded?
In the app settings, you have the option to adjust the video shooting duration under the “Motion Detection Duration” setting with three preset choices: 1 O seconds, 15 seconds, and 20 seconds. If you subscribe to X-Sense Smart Service, a new option called “Auto” will become available. With this setting, the recording time can extend up to 3 minutes, depending on whether there is any person in the frame. The recording will automatically stop once the person exits the frame.

How to set the video shooting interval Onterval Time)?
Within the app, you have the option to adjust the video shooting duration using the “Interval Time” feature under the Motion Detection settings. This feature offers three preset choices: 1 minute, 3 minutes, and 5 minutes, allowing the device to capture one video at specified intervals to preserve battery life.Upon subscribing to the X-Sense Smart Service, a new option becomes available, providing intervals of 1O seconds or 30 seconds for video shooting. Additionally, a “Cool Down Time” setting is introduced. If you choose to disable the “Cool Down Time” switch, the device will no longer adhere to the interval setting, resulting in continuous video triggering whenever motion is detected.

What should I do when the device is not working normally?
Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to restart the camera. If there is no response, you can open the rubber plug at the bottom of the camera and use a reset pin to press the restart hole to restart the camera.
