HORIZON 5.0R Comfort Recumbent Bike
Bike Console OTA Software Update Procedure
For use with Horizon 5.0IC, 7.0IC, 5.0U or 5.0R
Use the following instructions to update a Horizon bike console “over the air” using a phone app. This is an alternative way to update software if updating via USB port is not possible. These instructions are for an Apple iPhone, but the process is similar for Android.

Go to https://support.horizonfitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/5149009125005 on your phone. Find the software for your model and download it to a location on your phone that you will remember.

Go to the App store and search “nRF Connect for Mobile”. Install, then open the app.

The app opens to the scanner page. Select the device you wish to connect to, and press “Connect”.

On the DFU screen, press “Open Document Picker” at the bottom of the screen.

Select the zipped software update file that you downloaded from the Horizon site.

Press “Start”. The console will go dark. DO NOT unplug the indoor cycle while it is updating.

The screen shows progress; when it is at 100%, “Success!” displays and the bike console reboots.

Confirm that the new software version displays on the console, then exit the app.
