General information

Safety instructions
Please read carefully the safety mark on the backside

This mark is intended to alert the user horn the non-isolated dangerous voltage within the product that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

This mark is intended to alert the user to important operating and servicing instructions.

Warnings

  • Avoid sustained periods of high-volume use. and do not turn the volume to maximum level while using high output signal. such as Mobile Phone or DVD. etc. as this will cause distortion and may damage the loudspeaker cones.

  • Please switch off the system from the wall socket. when not in use.

  • Do not open the cover or back panel to avoid electrical shock or any other accidents. No user-serviceable parts are inside.

  • Only for indoor use.

  • Plug the system into the AC outlet with the right voltage marked on the back panel of the Subwoofer and soundbar.

  • The MAINS plug is used as the disconnect device. the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
    • The product shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product.

  • Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.

  • Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

Avoid high temperatures. moisture, water, and dust

  • Apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing of liquid.
  • Do not place any source of danger on the Subwoofer. and satellite (e.g. liquid filled objects lighted candles).
  • Do not install near heat sources.

Do not block any ventilation opening

  • Place the apparatus in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent internal heat build-up. Allow at least 10cm (4 inches) of free space all around the apparatus for adequate ventilation.
  • At high volume the back cover of the Subwoofer becomes hot.

Care of the cabinet

  • Use a soh cloth slightly moistened to clean the cabinet. Do not use a solution containing alcohol, spirits. ammonia or abrasives.

Connections

  1. Bass connection.

Top panel operation

  1. /SOURCE: The Speaker system is in standby mode when power is on, with LED lights on. Please press the “   /SOURCE” to select the appropriate source. Keeping the “   /SOURCE” key pressed for long will put it back in standby mode. You can toggle through the input modes by pressing the “ /SOURCE” key. “BT” denotes Bluetooth Mode, “ARC” denotes HDMI ARC Mode, “OPT” denotes Optical Mode, “ AUDIO IN ” denotes Audio Mode, “ ” denotes USB* mode.

  2.  : Play/Pause the songs.

  3. /VOL-: Long press for volume decrease/ short press for prev track.

  4. /VOL+: Long press for volume increase/ short press for next track.

Remark:**
In order not to disturb in the dark, the LED display of the soundbar is set to be off, if there is no operation after 90 seconds of stand-by mode.

Remote controls

  1.  : Power ON or Standby mode.
  2.  RESET: To set the EQ and volume to the default level.
  3.  MUTE: Turn volume o, short press again to activate the sound.
  4. VOL+: To increase the Volume by short or long-press VOL+.
  5.  : Play the previous song by pressing “ ” but not in audio mode.
  6.  : Play/ pause in USB*/BT mode and MUTE in audio mode.
  7. : Play the next song by pressing “ ”, but not in audio mode.
  8. VOL-: To decrease the Volume by short or long-press VOL-.
  9. BT: Bluetooth mode.
  10.  ARC: HDMI ARC mode.
  11.  OPT: Optical mode.
  12.  AUD: Audio input mode.
  13. USB: USB* mode.
  14. EQ: POP, ROCK, JAZZ, CLASSIC, COUNTRY, NORMAL.

Remark:
In order not to disturb in the dark, the LED display of the soundbar is set to be off, if there is no operation after 90 seconds of standby mode.

Playing the speakers and subwoofer

System positioning :
The subwoofer is recommended to be put on the floor to get the better acoustic effect
The soundbar is recommended to be put on the flat desktop to get a better acoustic effect.
Helpful Hint:
– To avoid magnetic interference, do not position the speakers, too close to your TV.

Bluetooth Operating Instruction

1. Press the SOURCE key from a soundbar or remote control to Bluetooth mode;
2. When selecting Bluetooth mode, the BT light will start blinking and you will hear an audio tone which Bluetooth pairing mode.
3. For pairing with a mobile phone or other Bluetooth devices, search the device named “Philips HTL2060” and choose to pair. Once paired, the BT light will slowly flash and come up with another audio tone. BT light will stop flashing when playing music.
4. Press and hold “  ” for 3 seconds from the remote control in order to force disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
Note: While using Bluetooth, if an external call comes, then the speaker system goes in a mute mode in order to protect the privacy of mobile phone users. Operation resumes once the call is disconnected.

Troubleshooting

Warning-
Under no circumstances should you try to repair the system yourself, as this will invalidate the warranty.
Do not open the system as there is a risk of electric shock, if a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the system for repair. If you are unable to remedy the problem by following hints is mentioned below the table.

Check if the AC power cord is properly inserted into the AC mains socket.

Adjust the volume / select the correct source to choose the equipment that you want to hear through the system.

Reduce the distance between the remote control and the system. Replace the batteries with new ones / Point the remote control directly towards the IR sensor (located on the front panel of the subwoofer) / Check that the batteries are loaded correctly/ switch off the system for 30 seconds and then restart.
Place the product as far away as possible from electrical devices that may be causing interference / Check power supply voltage and consult an electrician.
The USB flash drive former is not compatible with the system. Drive is formatted with a different file system which is not supported by this unit (e.g. NTFS).
Big memory-size USB flash drive will take a longer time to read and play. / Take out the USB drive and insert it again properly.
Reduce the distance or device is not paired.

Warranty

This Philips soundbar is warranted against any defect due to defective materials or workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase. shoulda a defect develop during the warranty? TPV Technology India Pvt. Ltd., an affiliate of MMD Hong Kong Holding Limited. undertake to repair the apparatus FREE OF CHARGE at any of its authorized service centers in India.

The warranty is not valid in case:

  1.  Proof of purchase is not accompanied by this warranty card.
  2. The warranty card is not completed immediately after purchase.
  3. The apparatus is not used according to this user manual.
  4. Defects are caused due to improper or reckless use.
  5. Any repairs are done by persons other than Philips authorized service center.
  6. The serial number is tampered with.
  7. Defects due to causes beyond control like lightning, abnormal voltage, or while in transit to the purchaser’s residence.
