NTRODUCTION

This system programming and operation manual is provided for salespersons, field engineers and other personnel as supplementary manual for the TEC electronic cash register series MA-1600-200 Stand-alone and Master-Satellite System.

Using a master terminal designed by adding a master IFU board to an MA-1600 stand-alone and satellite terminals to which satellite IFU boards are added, the MA-1600 MIS system can comprise system made up of up to 16 units.

Note that given at the beginning of each item is an explanation indicating whether it is setting or operation possible at stand-alone level or in a master-satellite system.

Any detail information not described here, please refer to the Owner’s Manual for the MA-1600 series issued for the stand-alone level. Also refer to the Owner’s Manual for the MA-1600 MasterSatellite System issued separately from that of the stand-alone level.

DEPARTMENT CONTROL

A maximum of 60 tables of Department are stored in each terminal. Each department can be classified into a maximum of 30 groups for control of sales by group.

PLU CONTROL

A maximum of 960 tables of PLU items are stored in each terminal file. Those PLU must be identical from terminal to terminal. A maximum-of 100 PLU link tables can also be programmed; PLUs which automatically link to PLUs at entry time are also entered.

CLERK CONTROL

For Signing Method, a file of a maximum 10 clerks in each terminal is possible. Clerk Tables can be programmed on individual terminals. As a system, a maximum of 50 clerks altogether can be maintained for in-line reports. A clerk sales data (with the same cashier code) can be consolidated in reports.

SALESPERSON CONTROL

A file of a maximum 16 salespersons in each terminal is possible. Salesperson Tables can be programmed on individual terminals. As a system, a maximum of 99 salespersons altogether can be maintained for in-line reports. A salesperson sales data (with the same salesperson code) can be consolidated in reports.

CHECK TRACK (Customer File Memory) CONTROL

A file of maximum 1,000 Check Track Tables is possible. The file is programmed and stored in each Terminal file and will not collect or consolidated on in- line reports.

CONTROL OF CREDIT CARD SALES BY COMPANY

A maximum of 12 tables of Credit Card Companies can be programmed. Sales by credit company can be read at stand-alone level.

    All Media Sales Total and Gash-in-drawer (Daily)
    All/Zone PLU (Daily)
    All/Individual/Zero, Debit, Credit-balance Customer File (Check Track) (Daily)
    Inactive PLU (Daily)
    Department ABC Analysis (Daily, GT)
    PLU ABC Analysis (Daily)

  2. Reset Reports
    Financial (Daily, GT)
    Clerk (Daily, GT)
    Salesperson (Daily)
    Hourly Range (Daily)
    All Department (Daily, GT)
    All/Zone PLU (Daily)
