Door Compatibility Guide
August smart locks easily attach to your existing deadbolt on the inside of your door and are compatible with many different types of single-cylinder deadbolts.
Please note we are not currently compatible with:
- Mortise locks
- Double Cylinder deadbolts (keyhole on both outside and inside of the door)
- Medeco, Mul-t-Lock or single-sided deadbolts

Installation Guide
Download the August app to begin setup.
Select ‘Setup up my first device’ and create your new August account.
You will then need to scan the QR Code for
your smart lock. Push inward on the ‘a’ to remove the battery cover and flip
it over to reveal your code.
Already an August user?
Open your August app and select “Set Up Device” from the menu.
Follow the instructions in the app.
