FAQ’S
Is the air fryer dishwasher safe?
No, the air fryer is not dishwasher safe.
Do I need to preheat the air fryer?
No, the air fryer automatically preheats when you turn it on.
How do I clean the air fryer basket?
The basket is dishwasher safe. We recommend washing it by hand with warm soapy water and a soft sponge or brush.
How do I clean the outside of my air fryer?
The outside of your air fryer can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads or other harsh cleaning agents as they may scratch the surface of your appliance.
Can I cook frozen foods in my air fryer?
Yes, you can cook frozen foods in your air fryer. However, they will take longer to cook than fresh foods. Frozen foods should be thawed before cooking to prevent them from overcooking and drying out. To thaw frozen food, place it in the refrigerator for 24 hours or thaw it in cold water for 30 minutes. Do not microwave frozen food as this may cause hot spots that could burn your food. Microwaving frozen food will also cause moisture to build up inside your appliance which could result in damage to your appliance and/or fire hazard. If you are unsure about how long to cook frozen food in your appliance, we recommend cooking it for half the time recommended for fresh food and then checking it frequently until it is done.
What kind of oil should I use with my air fryer?
You can use any cooking oil that is suitable for high-temperature cooking such as vegetable oil or canola oil. We do not recommend using olive oil or butter as they may burn at high temperatures and smoke excessively during cooking. We also do not recommend using margarine as it contains trans fats which are harmful to health when heated above 350°F (176°C). If you are interested in using a flavored oil such as garlic-infused oil or truffle-infused oil, we recommend using a neutral flavored oil with a high smoke point such as vegetable or canola oil so that the flavor of the flavoring agent does not burn off during cooking and leave an unpleasant taste in your food. What is the difference between instant vortex and vortex plus?
Inside the frying basket is a crisper plate, and both components are dishwasher-safe, unlike on the Vortex Plus where only the crisper plate can be cleaned in a dishwasher. Both air fryers have a 6-quart / 5.7 liter capacity and offer a cooking temperature range from 95 F / 35 C to 400 F / 205.
Do air fryers need filters?
The air fryer has an insert at the back of the air fryer that claims to remove odors as it cooks. This can be removed and inserted easily for cleaning, and it uses removable filters which need to be replaced.
Should I use a liner in my air fryer?
Using liners will not only save you time and energy, but also reduces the wear and tear on your machine. Your air fryer will have fewer scratches from stuck food or scrubbing, extending its lifespan and efficiency over time. They help crisp your food with a lower risk of burning it in the process.
Can you use coffee filters in air fryer?
A PSA, I know a lot of you are reading about using coffee filters for your air fryer, please do not use them, these are made just for the air fryer.
Is aluminum foil safe in air fryer?
It is absolutely safe to use aluminum foil in your air fryer. In fact, it can make cooking with the air fryer easier.
What Cannot be cooked in air fryer?
Any food with a wet batter should not be placed in the air fryer. You also want to avoid putting food that has a wet batter, like corndogs or tempura shrimp, in air fryers.
