We are delighted that you have chosen our MAXXMEE decorative column with ball light. Choose between simple, white light, impress with colourful strobe effects, or create a romantic mood with the gentle colour gradi­ent. You can use the remote control which is included to easily set the function you want, choose the colours or also regulate the bright­ness level.

Information About the Operating Instructions
Before using the product for the first time, please read through these operating in­structions carefully and keep them for future reference and other users. They form an integral part of the product. The manufacturer and importer do not accept any liability if the information in these operating instructions is not complied with

INTENDED USE

• This product is suitable for use as decoration indoors and outdoors.

• The product is not a toy!

• The product is designed for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.

• The product should only be used as described in the operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
  WARNING – Danger of Injury

• Keep children and animals away from the packaging material! There is a danger of suffocation.

• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.

• Non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries can be deadly if swallowed. The batteries and the product should be kept out of the reach of children and animals.
  If a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately. There is a danger of burns from battery acid.

• If the battery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protective gloves. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected areas with abundant clear water straight away and seek medical assistance immediately. There is a danger of burns from battery acid.
  WARNING – Danger from Rechargeable Batteries

• The batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into a fi re, immersed in liquids or exposed to high temperatures of over +40 °C. A battery could ignite or explode.

• Do not cover the product during charging to prevent overheating.

NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

• Disconnect the product from the power source if an error occurs during charging or before a thunderstorm.
• Make sure that the USB cable is not squashed or bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
• The product must be switched off when it is connected to or disconnected from the main power.
• Protect the product from heat, naked fl games, direct sunlight, sub-zero temperatures, persistent moisture, wet conditions and impacts.
• Never immerse the product in water or other liquids! It is only splashproof.
• In extreme weather conditions (e. g. storm, hail) or if the product is not used for an extensive period of time, switch it off and store it in a dry place at room temperature.
• In the event of damage/faults, switch the product off immediately. Do not use the product if it is damaged.
• Do not make any modifi cations to the product. Do not attempt to repair it yourself or to replace any individual parts. In the event of any damage, contact the customer service department. The individual LEDs cannot be replaced.
• Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the product from working and to avoid possible damage.
• Never use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents. These may damage the surface.
• Store the product in a dry, clean place which is out of the reach of children and animals.

Check the product for transport damage. If you fi and any damage, do not use the product but contact our customer service department.
Remove any possible fi LMS, stickers or transport protection from the product.
Never remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!

A USB mains adapter corresponding to the technical data of the product is also required for charging at the plug socket (see rating plate or “Technical Data”). This is not supplied with the product.

CHANGING THE BATTERY IN THE REMOTE CONTROL

The battery is already inserted. All you need to do is pull out the transport safeguard.

Before inserting the battery, check whether it is clean, and clean it if necessary.

1. The battery compartment is located on the narrow side of the remote control. Pull it out as shown.
2. Remove the used battery and insert a new battery (3 V, CR2025 type). The positive pole must be facing upwards.
3. Slide the battery compartment into the remote control. You must hear and feel it engage.

CHARGING UP THE BATTERY

Please Note!

• Do not charge up the product via a computer because the computer might be damaged by the high charging current.

Charge up the battery fully before you fi first use the product so that it reaches full capacity.

1. Remove the protective cap from the USB port on the battery compartment.
2. Plug the Micro-B connector of the USB cable into the connecting socket on the battery compartment.
3. Plug the USB-A connector into the socket of a suitable USB mains adapter.
4. Connect the USB main adapter to an easily accessible plug socket.
5. When the battery is fully charged (approx. 3 – 5 hours), pull the USB mains adapter out of the plug socket and disconnect the USB cable from the product.
6. Place the protective cap back into the connecting socket on the battery compartment. If the performance of the product diminishes or it starts to fl icker, the battery should be recharged.

The battery performance may be severely restricted in temperatures well below freezing.

USE

The remote control only works if the On / Off switch on the battery compartment of the decorative column has been pressed.
The individual colours and modes can only be set using the remote control (16 colours – modes).

1. Position product — Set up the product in a suitable place.

2. Switch on — Press the On/Off switch on the decorative column to switch on the

3. Select colour — Press the correspond­ing colour selection button (7, 9) on the remote control to switch between the different colours.

4. Set mode — Press the corresponding mode button (3— 6) on the remote control to switch between the different modes.

5. Set brightness — Use the buttons and (9) to set the brightness.

6. Switch LEDs on/off — To switch the LEDs on or off, press the button ON (2) or OFF (1) on the remote control.
   Please Note: The LEDs are then on stand-by.

7. Switch off — Press the On /Off switch again to switch off the LED.

The decorative column has an internal timer. The LEDs light up for 6 hours before they are automatically switched off for 18 hours. They can be switched on or off again at any time by pressing the On / Off switch again.

DISPOSAL

| Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that it can be recycled.
