Dear Customer, We are delighted that you have chosen our MAXXMEE 2in1 heating pad. It allows you to tackle a stiff neck or cold feet just as well as annoying stomach pains. This is because the heating pad can either be fully spread out or folded up, so can be used as a foot warmer or body warmer as you wish. You can choose from three different heat levels, and the integrated automatic switch-off function after 90 minutes means it is safe to use at all times. Information About the Operating Instructions Before using the device for the fi rst time, please read through these operating instructions carefully and keep them for future reference and other users. They form an integral part of the device. The manufacturer and importer do not accept any liability if the information in these operating instructions is not complied with.

INTENDED USE

The device is intended to be used for warming up the feet, back or upper body and is used for relaxation. It is not a substitute for medically required treatment.

Use the device only for the specified purpose and as described in the operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

The warranty does not cover faults caused by incorrect handling, damage or attempted repairs. The same applies to normal wear and tear.
SAFETY NOTICES
Children younger than three years of age must not use this device as they are unable to react to overheating.
- The device must not be used by young children over three years of age, unless the regulation and / or control units have been preset by a parent or guardian or the child has been suffi ciently briefed on how to operate the regulation and / or control units safely.
- This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply with the relevant safety precautions.
- Children must not play with the device.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.
- The device may not be used by people who are insensitive to heat or by other vulnerable people who are unable to react to overheating.
- Do not use the device if it is wet or damp. It must be completely dry before it is used.
- No safety pins or other sharp or pointed objects may be attached to the device or inserted into it.
- Always check the device and accessories for damage or wear before putting them into operation. It may only be used if it is undamaged and does not display any signs of wear and tear.
- Do not make any modifi cations to the device. If the device or its connecting cable are damaged, these components must be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer, customer service department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.
- The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when left unattended and before cleaning it.
- Always allow the device to cool down completely before it is washed, folded up and / or stored away.
- Fold up the device loosely, do not press it together fi rmly or bend it to ensure that the heating loops are not damaged. Do not place any objects, animals or people on the folded device.
- Use the device only with the SS02 control unit that is supplied with it.
DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock
Store the device only in closed rooms.
- Do not operate or store the device in rooms with high humidity.
- Ensure that the connecting cable and the control unit cannot fall into water or become wet. In addition, the device must not fall into water or become wet during use.
- If the device becomes wet or falls into water while it is connected to the mains power, pull the mains plug out of the plug socket immediately. Only after this should you retrieve the device from the water. Never attempt to pull it out of the water while it is connected to the main power!
- Never touch the control unit or the connecting cable with wet hands when the device is connected to the mains power.
- Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or the control unit or the connecting cable has been dropped into water to avoid any hazards. Have it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
Warning – Danger of Fire
- Keep the device and accessories away from fi re and other heat sources.
- Do not place any combustible or easily-melting materials on or in the device.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
- Keep the packaging material away from children and animals. There is a danger of suffocation!
- Make sure that the connecting cable is always kept out of the reach of young children and animals. There is a danger of strangulation.
- Babies and sleeping or unconscious people must not be placed on the device.
- Only use the device if you have no physical illnesses or ailments! If you are unsure whether the device may be used, consult a doctor.
- People with a pacemaker may use the device only after consultation with their doctor.
- Pregnant women or those who have recently given birth should not use the device, or should use it only after consultation with their doctor.
- Do not use the device on injuries, swelling, skin irritations, infected skin, warts, fungal infections, abnormal changes in the skin or body parts with no feeling.
- Switch off the device immediately if you experience pain or feel unwell during use.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
- Disconnect the device from the mains power if a fault occurs or in a thunderstorm.
- When you disconnect the device from the mains power, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable.
- Never pull or carry the device by the main cable.
- Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible damage.
- Use and store the device at room temperature, do not expose it to extreme temperatures or temperature fl uctuations. Protect the control unit from any impacts.
- Do not use the connecting cable or control unit with another device.
Please Note!
- Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match the rating plate of the control unit.
- Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip hazard.
- Make sure that the connecting cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
- Do not place the connecting cable or the control unit on or beneath the heating pad during operation.
- Plug the connecting cable into the socket (2) on the heating pad (3).
- Connect the mains plug to a plug socket.
- Turn the heating pad either into a foot warmer or a hand warmer by closing the buttons (Picture B and C). Or place it on your back, stomach or legs with the buttons open (Picture D and E).
- To switch on the device, slide the slide control (6) on the control unit (1) to the heat level you want. The display (7) lights up and shows the chosen heat level.
- The device switches off automatically after 90 minutes.
- To switch off the device, slide the slide control to the 0 positions. The display switches off.
- If the heating pad is used in bed, we recommend switching it off before you go to sleep.
- When the device is switched off, pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
- Disconnect the connecting cable from the device.
- Allow the device to cool down before it is stored away or washed.
CARE AND STORAGE
Please Note!
- Do not wash the heating pad in the washing machine!
- Do not use fabric softener!
- The heating pad may only be dried in the air! Never place it on a heater or radiator or switch it on to dry.
- Do not wind the connecting cable around the control unit or the heating pad.
- Wash the heating pad (3) (without the connecting cable!) separately or with similar colors by hand in lukewarm or warm water.
- Allow the heating pad to dry completely before using it again.
- Wipe down the control unit (1) and the connecting cable with a damp cloth if necessary. Then dry with a soft cloth.
- When storing it away, do not press the heating pad together too firmly and do not use any force. The heating loops could be damaged.
- Store the device in a dry place that is protected from sunlight and is not accessible to children and animals.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below, contact the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself! The device does not work. The connecting cable is not connected to the socket (2) correctly.
- Correct the fit. The mains plug is not inserted in the plug socket correctly.
- Correct the fit of the mains plug. The plug socket is defective.
- Try another plug socket. There is no mains voltage.
- Check the fuse of the electrical distributor (fuse box). The slide control (6) was not slid (correctly) to one of the heat levels.
- Slide the slide control (again) to the heat level you want. The overheating protection has been activated.
- Allow the device to cool down and switch it on again.
DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that it can be recycled. This device is governed by the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Do not dispose of this device as normal domestic waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via an offi cially approved waste disposal company.
