What is a SpotStay / SpotStay Pro?
SpotStay and SpotStay Pro are Bluetooths trackers that you attach or adhere to
your most important items (like keys or a TV remote). You can then use the app
on your phone to help locate those items if misplaced.
You can also use them in reverse. If your phone is misplaced, you can use a
SpotStay or SpotStay Pro to help sound an alarm on your phone that you can
follow to help find it.
Important
- The Spot app must always be running in the background of your phone.
- A SpotStay/ SpotStay Pro can be paired to only one phone at a time. A max of 4 Spot family trackers can be paired to one phone.
- Your phone’s Bluetooth settings must be on
- Your phone’s Location Services must be on for the map feature to function.
Getting Started
- Download the app from Tunes or Google Play. Search “Spot Bluetooth Finder”
- Push the button on your SpotStay / SpotStay Pro.
- The SpotStay / SpotStay Pro will emit a “chime” sound.
- From your phone settings, make sure Bluetooth is on.
Pairing Your Spot
- Open the Spot app.
- Press & hold the button on SpotStay / SpotStay Pro for 2 secs
- Select your SpotStay / SpotStay Pro from the list of Spots.
- Choose your mode: Find or Tether (see right panel to learn more).
Search Party
In the Spot app, you will see the option to log in.

Find Mode
- Find Mode helps locate missing items.
- In Find Mode, you can sound an alarm on your SpotStay/SpotStay Pro when you tap the FIND button.
- You can also sound an alarm on your phone when you press the button on the SpotStay / SpotStay Pro.
- SpotStay /Spot Stay Pro must be within Bluetooth® range of your mobile device for the Find feature to function properly.
Tether Mode
- Tether Mode can help prevent you from leaving important belongings behind.
- Tether Mode creates an invisible tether between your phone & your SpotStay / SpotStay Pro.
- Once your SpotStay/SpotStay Pro leaves the Bluetooth range of your phone, your SpotStay / SpotStay Pro & phone will sound an alarm to notify you.
