Getting to Know Your Camera

*We recommend that you insert an 8-128GB high-speed microSD card, otherwise your camera will not be able to store or view historical videos as well as other important functions.

General Introduction

  • Power on the Camera
    As shown in picture 1 , locate the micro-USB Power Interface and plug the included micro-USB cable into the camera.
    Plug the other end of the micro-USB cable into the included power adapter. The Indicator Light will turn on to indicate that the camera has power
    QR Code
    Ensure that there is a Wi-Fi network available

  • Connect Your Camera to the YI Home App

    • Download and install the YI Home App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
    • You can also scan the QR code of the YI Home App below and complete the installation.
  • Adding Your Camera to Your YI Account
    After logging into the YI Home App, enter the device selection interface, and select your camera. The camera will flash red and then click “I heard waiting to connect”, once you hear the “Waiting for connection” voice prompt.
    Point the QR code displayed on your phone towards the camera lens and wait for the camera to scan the QR code. After the QR code has been scanned, click “Next” and wait until you hear “Pairing successful”.

You can now start using your camera!

Wall Mounting Diagram (optional)

Tips: The mounting wall should be able to support at least 3 times the total weight of the bracket and the camera.

  • Use the installation hardware to install the wall mount to a flat wall/ceiling.
  • Install the camera onto the wall mount.
  • Connect the USB power cable to the camera and switch it on; the camera will automatically connect to the last configured Wi-Fi network.

Note

Pairing a device to the camera via a wired connection is not supported. In order to use a wired connection, you must pair the device the camera to a Wi- Fi connection and then switch to a wired connection.

  • When switching your new network environment, reset your camera, and re-follow the connection and pairing procedure.
  • If you are pairing the camera via sound waves, increase the volume of your mobile device and keep it close to the camera
