Start Using the PHA10
Before you start using the PHA10, please read the following:
- We recommend powering the PHA10 on AFTER you’ve put the earbuds into your ears
- Each earbud can be used for either ear; there’s no L or R.
- To avoid “squealing”, please make sure that you pick the pair of earbud tips that fit the tightest; the squealing occurs when there’s air escaping from the space between the gap between the device and your ear canal. Wear them tightly to prevent the air from escaping.
Fig 1
Step 1: Plug the Wired Earbuds Ⓑ into the port ④ on PHA10. Refer to Fig
1.
Step 2: Put the Earbuds on.
To prevent “squealing”, please make sure that you wear them properly and
tightly.
Switch the earbud tips to a different size if you need to.
Step 3: Slide the power switch ⑦ to power on the PHA10.
We suggest setting the volume at low first to avoid accidental hearing damage.
You may adjust the volume once they’re up and working.
Tuning the PHA10
MPO: If the volume is still too low/high even after adjusting via the
volume control, you may turn this knob using the screwdriver to tune the
volume level.
NH: If you find the environmental noise too loud, you may turn this knob
using the screwdriver to adjust the “noise filtering”.
NL: If you still find it hard to pick up conversations, you may turn this
knob using the screwdriver to tune the “conversation pick up”.
Charging the PHA10
Connect the PHA10 to a power source using the charging cable. The power source
can either be a powered USB port or any DC 5V, 0.5-2A power source.
The charging indicator ② will turn RED while charging and automatically dim
out when the charging is complete.

Troubleshooting – Squealing Noise
A high-pitched screech or squeal from an electronic device is called feedback,
and it can happen for a number of reasons. The most effective way to fix the
problem is to determine the source of the problem, which might be:
Improper fit: There’s air escaping from the space between the gap between
the device and your ear canal. Ensure you wear them BEFORE you turn on the
PHA10, pick the right-sized buds and wear them tightly to prevent the air from
escaping.
Ear Wax: If ear wax is blocking your ear canal, sound may have nowhere
else to go but out the vents and joints of the device, causing squealing
feedback.
Cleaning the PHA10
Your hearing amplifier is a high-precision system. Proper maintenance and operation ensure optimum performance.
- Clean the earwax in your ear canal at least twice a week.
- If the hearing amplifier is damp, do not use a microwave oven, hairdryer, and/or other electric heaters to dry. Put it in a dry and well-ventilated place to dry naturally.
- Wipe the hearing amplifier with a soft dry cloth without using any solvents detergents.
- Don’t strike or hit the hearing amplifier violently.
- When the hearing amplifier is out of order, do not dismantle it without authorization. The damage caused by dismantling the hearing amplifier will not be covered by the warranty.
