  • The pace (strokes per minute)
  • The intensity (heart rate)
  • The workload (workout time, sets)
  • The resistance (the higher it is, the slower the pace)

Start your practice gently with 1 to 2 sessions per week and for 10 minutes, and gradually increase the duration and intensity. Always end your session with some stretching exercises.

Warm-up: Progressive effort for up to 15 minutes: The warm-up not only allows the body to get ready for exercise, it also ensures a more successful workout and results that meet your expectations. It must be done correctly, for a duration of between 10 and 15 minutes. To do so, take a seat on your rowing machine and row linearly (smoothly) and at low resistance to start. Gradually increase the resistance
Aerobic workout exercise: Row at about 18 strokes per min, and at 75% of your maximum heart rate, 3×5 minutes for a 30-min session, Then do an intensive aerobic session: 24 strokes per min, at 85% of your maximum heart rate, 2×4 min for a 10-min session.

Power workout exercise: This exercise will help you increase the pace and power of your workout. Start with 3 minutes of 20-22 strokes per minute, then 3 minutes at a pace of 22-24 strokes per minute. Then move on to 3 minutes of 24 strokes at a moderate speed, then 3 minutes of the same, but at a faster speed. Take a minute to recover between the sessions.
