WARNING: Keep the ventilation openings in the appliance enclosure and the built-in structure clear of obstructions.

  • This bread maker can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the bread maker in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the bread maker.
  • Keep the bread maker out of reach of children under 8 years to avoid risk of scalds, burns or electric shock.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • This bread maker is intended for indoor household use. Do not use the bread maker outdoors or for any other purpose.
  • This bread maker has a working voltage of 230-240V and frequency of 50Hz.
  • To protect against risk of electric shock, do not pour water on the power cord, plug or openings of the bread maker.
  • Do not immerse the bread maker into water or any other liquid.
  • Do not place the bread maker on wet or slippery surfaces.
  • Do not place the bread maker near gas burners, electric ovens, or other heat sources.
  • Do not place the bread maker on or near any flammable items (for example, paper, curtains, tablecloths, etc.).
  • Do not insert metal objects into the bread maker. Doing so may cause fires, short circuits, and severe injuries to users.
  • Do not touch the inside of the bread maker immediately after use as the residual heat may cause burns. Wait for the bread maker to cool before touching.
  • Do not cover the openings of the bread maker while in use.
  • If the display shows ‘HHH’, the bread maker is overheating. Unplug it immediately and open the lid, leaving it to cool down completely before next use. This may occur if insufficient time was left between baking cycles.
  • Do not let the power cord come into contact with heat sources or sharp edges as this could cause damage.
  • If the power cord is damaged, stop use immediately and contact help.Kogan.com.
  • If using an extension cable, ensure the power rating is compatible with that of the bread maker.
  • Do not use an unsupplied power cord with the bread maker.
  • Do not use any accessories not included with this bread maker.
  • Do not use any third-party devices (for example, timers) with this bread maker.
  • Do not use clean the bread maker using scouring pads, steel wool or any other hard abrasives.
  • Do not move the bread maker whilst it is preparing and cooking, or when it contains hot ingredients or liquids.
  • Do not touch the kneading paddle during operation. Doing so may cause injuries.
  • Unplug the bread maker following use and before filling, cleaning or maintaining the bread maker.
  • The largest loaf that can be made is 1000g. The maximum amount of flour is 480g and maximum amount of raising agent is 8g.
  • Do not use this bread maker for storing food or utensils.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Wipe the bread pan, kneading paddle and other surfaces of the bread maker with a soft, clean, damp cloth.
Note
Do not use any abrasive scrubbers or cleaning powders.
Remove the protective film on the control panel.

OPERATION

  1. Place the bread maker on a dry, flat, heat-resistant surface.

  2. Remove the bread pan from the bread maker by slightly twisting the bread pan anticlockwise.
    Ensure the kneading paddle is securely located on the spindle in the base of the bread pan.

  3. Load the ingredients into the bread pan in the following order: Liquids, sugar and salt, flour and lastly yeast. Putting the yeast last will ensure a fluffy loaf.

  4. Place the bread pan back into the bread maker and slightly twist clockwise to secure in place. Close the lid.

  5. Select the mode you wish the bread maker to perform by repeatedly pressing the Menu button until the mode number on the LCD display matches the desired mode listed on the control panel.

  6. If making bread, select the desired darkness of the crust (light/medium/dark) by repeatedly pressing the Color button to cycle through until the desired indicator for the colour of loaf is lit up.

  7. Select the loaf size (Small 750g, Large 1000g) by pressing the Loaf button repeatedly to cycle through until the desired indicator for the loaf size is lit up.

  8. Press the Start/Stop button and the bread maker will begin its cooking process. The
    LCD display will countdown the time remaining until the bread maker has finished.
    Notes

    • Do not open the lid during the cooking process.
    • If you wish to stop the cooking process at any time, press and hold the Start/Stop button for 2 seconds until you hear a long beep sound.
    • If your power is unexpectedly cut off and recovered within 10 minutes, the bread maker will continue cooking where it left off.
  9. Once the cooking process has finished, the bread maker will activate a keep warm function for 1 hour. This prevents the bread from becoming too moist.
    You can deactivate the warming function prematurely by pressing and holding the Start/Stop button until you hear a beep sound.
    Notes

    • This warming function only applies to the following modes: Basic, French, Whole wheat, Gluten free, Sweet, Ultra fast, Dessert and Bake.
    • If the bread is not dark enough to your liking or needs a little further baking, use the Bake mode. Set the amount of time needed for further baking (10-60 minutes) using the timer adjustment buttons.

Removing bread

  1. Turn off the bread maker at the socket and unplug the power cord.

  2. Using heatproof gloves or oven mittens, hold the bread pan over a wire rack and shake lightly until the bread is released.
    Note
    Do not use metal utensils to remove bread from the bread pan as they will damage the non-stick surface.

  3. After removing the bread, immediately rinse the bread pan with warm water. This will prevent the kneading paddle from sticking to the spindle.

Timer
The timer function allows users to set a time (up to 13 hours in advance) for the food to be ready by the bread maker. This could be useful for example if you wanted a freshly baked loaf in the morning.

  1. Place the ingredients in the bread maker and close the lid.
  2. Use the timer adjustment buttons to set the timer. Once set, the bread maker will begin cooking automatically at a time appropriate for the mode and timer set.
    Note
    Do not use this timer if baking with ingredients that may spoil quickly at room temperature (for example, milk, cream)

Modes|

Basic| Suitable for white and mixed breads, mainly consisting of wheat or rye flour. Bread made in this mode has a more compact consistency.
French| Suitable for lighter breads made from fine flour. Bread made in this mode are fluffy and have a crisp crust. This is not suitable for recipes which require fats (for example, butter, margarine, or milk).
Whole wheat| Suitable for denser breads and recipes with wholemeal flour that require a longer phase of kneading and rising.
Gluten free| Suitable for making gluten free breads that are risen using baking powder.
Sweet| Suitable for sweet or fruit loaves (for example, raisin, coconut, chocolate). Loaves made in this mode are light and airy.
Ultra fast| Suitable for when a quick bread is needed. Breads made in this mode come out rougher and more rustic.
Dessert| Suitable for baked desserts.
Pasta| Suitable for kneading pasta dough. Once finished, remove the dough from the bread maker and rest the dough before cutting it into the desired shape. No heating takes place in this mode.
Dough| Suitable for kneading and rising dough.
Jam| Suitable for making jam.
Cake| Suitable for making a cake. In this mode, the bread maker mixes the ingredients and bakes the cake before leaving to cool for 20 minutes.
Bake|

  • Used after one of the other modes is complete if a darker crust is desired or further cooking is needed.
  • Set the amount of time needed for further baking (10-60 minutes) using the timer adjustment buttons. Press the Start/Stop button to begin further baking.

Yogurt| Suitable for making homemade yogurt.

  • Add milk and plain yogurt into a bottle, then place the bottle into the bread pan in the bread maker.
  • Ensure to add a little water into the bread pan to cover the bottom.
  • Set the amount of time needed for fermenting (360-720 minutes) using the timer adjustment buttons. Press the Start/Stop button to begin fermentation.
    Note: For yogurt, load the milk and plain yogurt into a bottle before putting into the bread pan.

Cook| Allows cooking from 20 -120 mins at 120°C.
Set the amount of time using the timer adjustment buttons. Press the Start/Stop button to begin cooking.

Dessert

| The bread maker will mix ingredients for 20 mins, then bake at 120°C for 60 mins. The bread maker will then the switch to the keep warm function for up to 60 mins.

Dough

| The bread maker will knead dough for 20 mins before going through 2 rising stages, 30 mins and 40 mins respectively.

Jam

| This mode will take 60 mins. The jam made will then need to rest for a further 20 mins.

Cake

| The bread maker will mix the ingredients for 3 mins, then bake for 55 minutes. Post-baking, the cake will need to rest for a further 20 mins.

Bake

| The extra baking time is determined by the user (10-60 mins). The bread maker will then switch to the keep warm function for up to 60 mins

Yogurt

| The bread maker will ferment the yogurt from a time determined by the user (360-720 mins).

Cook

| The bread maker will cook for a predetermined time set by the user (20-120 mins).

CLEANING & CARE

Unplug the power cord and let the bread maker cool before cleaning.

Bread pan and kneading paddle

  • Take the bread pan out of the bread maker.

  • Clean the interior of the bread pan with a soft sponge and warm, soapy water. If the kneading paddle is covered with dried food crumbs and hard to release, fill the bread pan with hot water and let it sit for approximately 30 minutes before removing.
    Notes

  • The surface of the bread pan and kneading paddle contain a non stick coating.
    Do not use any harsh abrasives (for example steel wool), chemical cleaning agents or thinners to clean the bread pan and kneading paddle.

    • Do not immerse the bread pan in water or any other liquids.
    • Do not wash any components in the dishwasher.

Exterior and lid

  • Wipe the exterior and lid with a soft wet cloth or sponge.
  • Due to moisture and water vapour the surface, the bread maker may slightly change in appearance over extended use. This is normal and does not affect the quality or functional performance of the bread maker.
    Note
    Do not immerse the bread maker into water or any other liquid.

Internal

  • Remove all the remnants of food left behind in the internal baking chamber using a soft wet cloth or sponge. Ensure it is fully dry before resuming use.

Storage

  • Store the bread maker in a cool dry place.

Ingredients

  • 500g strawberries
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 100g sugar
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp liqueur (optional)

Method

  1. Load all the ingredients into the bread pan.
  2. Using the Menu button, select the Jam mode.
  3. Press the Start/Stop button to start the cooking process. The LCD display will show a countdown until the jam is ready

GLUTEN FREE BREAD

Ingredients
For a 500g loaf

  • 280g gluten free flour
  • 150ml water
  • 1 ½ tbsp oil
  • ⅓ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tbsp sugar
  • ⅔ tsp yeast

For a 750g loaf

  • 420g gluten free flour
  • 230ml water
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp yeast

Method

  1. Load all the liquid ingredients, followed by the sugar, salt, and yeast into the bread pan.
  2. Using the Menu button, select the Gluten free mode.
  3. Using the Color button, select the desired darkness of the crust.
  4. Using the Loaf button, select the desired loaf size.
  5. Press the Start/Stop button to start the cooking process. The LCD display will show a countdown until the bread is ready.

WHOLEWHEAT BREAD

For a 750g loaf

  • 220g wholemeal flour
  • 220g bread flour
  • 300ml water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¾ tsp yeast

For a 1000g loaf

  • 220g wholemeal flour
  • 220g bread flour
  • 300ml water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¾ tsp yeast

Method

  1. Load all the liquid ingredients, followed by the sugar, salt, and yeast into the bread pan.
  2. Using the Menu button, select the Gluten free mode.
  3. Using the Color button, select the desired darkness of the crust.
  4. Using the Loaf button, select the desired loaf size.
  5. Press the Start/Stop button to start the cooking process. The LCD display will show a countdown until the bread is ready.

PIZZA DOUGH

TROUBLESHOOTING
