Quick grip function
Open the quick grip by turning the knob anticlockwise until the orange indicator that indicates open mode is seen.
To get the quick grips to the start position, slide them to the side.
Installation
Install the load carriers according to separate instructions with internal distances between 700-800 mm.
Lift the box onto the load carrier and open the roof box.
The roof box must be positioned as far backwards as possible without catching
on the tailgate. This is to increase stability and reduce wind noise.
Tip: Check again that the roof box is straight and that it does not catch
on the tailgate.
IMPORTANT
Make sure that you place the roof box facing forwards. The front of it should
be pointing in the direction of the bonnet.
NOTE
When using quick grips with plates, make sure that the plates are placed
beneath the quick grips, inside the roof box. Use a plate for each quick grip.
Install the quick grips, they must be positioned around the load carrier.
Pull the quick grips together so that they meet the load carrier.
Ensure that the load carrier is centred in the quick grip and that it surrounds the load carrier.
Lock the quick grip by turning the knob clockwise until you hear a click.
Securing the roof box
NOTE
Carry out the following to ensure that the roof box is properly secured:
- After driving 10 km, tighten the quick grips until you hear a click.
- The quick grips must be tightened four times per year to ensure that the roof box is secured and that it is properly attached.
Distributing loads
Distribute the load evenly in the roof box.
The roof box is water resistant but not water proof.
NOTE
The total roof weight on the car must not be exceeded (see Owners Manual).
Maximum permitted roof load = load carriers weight + roof box weight + load
weight.
NOTE
Do not exceed the box’s upper weight limit of 75 kg.
Securing loads
All loads in the roof box must be secured by tensioner band.
The cargo net can be purchased separately and used for bulky, low weight loads.
Thread the roof box tension strap through the eyes in bottom of the roof box.
Closing the roof box
Fold down the cover, lock and remove the key.
The roof box is properly closed when the cover covers the lower end of the box
and securely locks the cover.
Fold in the lock cover to protect the lock.
Roof box lamp
The roof box lamp comes on automatically when the roof box is opened.
The lamp extinguishes automatically after around 15 seconds.
Switch on the lamp by moving your hand under the lamp.
Activating the lamp
Remove the lamp by pulling it to the side.
NOTE
The battery’s plastic tab must be removed in order for the lamp to work.
Replacing the batteries
Remove the lamp by pulling it to the side.
Battery type: AAA

NOTE
Regularly check that the load carriers are secure on the roof and that the
roof box is secure on the load carriers.

the roof box is mounted.
NOTE
Check that the box is properly locked and the key removed before travelling.

Remove the load carriers and roof box before using a car wash.
NOTE
For safety reasons the car must not be driven faster than a maximum of 130
