With the Hombli Smart Outdoor String Light you can bring your garden, patio, balcony, and other outdoor space to life with a cozy warm glow! In this manual, you will find a clear explanation of the steps you need to follow to successfully install your String Light.

Safety warnings

• This product is IP65 weather resistant. This means it’s splashproof, but can’t be submerged in water
• Make sure the bulbs are not pointing upwards to prevent water from seeping into the rubber seal
• Avoid direct contact with the ground to prevent damage
• Do not install this product in enclosed spaces such as cabinets
• Ensure that the String Light hangs free from obstacles
• Keep out of reach from children

Preparation indoors

Follow the steps below to connect the Smart Outdoor String Light to the Hombli app and your Wi-Fi network.

1.1 Carefully unpack the String Light and attach all light bulbs to the bulb sockets

Installing the String Light Extension (sold separately) **optional**
Untwist the cap at the end of the Smart Outdoor String Light. Connect the extension and tighten the ring so it is secure and watertight.

1.2 Use the 2.5m connector wire to attach the power adapter to the String Light

1.3 Download the Hombli App

**1.4 Create an account or continue in “Try now” mode***

1.6 Add a new product

1.7 Select the String Light from the Lighting category

1.8 Connect the plug to a power outlet to turn on the String Light. The light bulbs will now flash rapidly

1.9 Select the correct Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

NOTE: This product is only compatible with
2.4 GHz networks.

1.10 Continue to the next screen. Assign the String Light to a room and it’s ready for use.

Installing outdoors

Follow these steps to install the String Light.

2.1 Connect to a power outlet to check if you have a proper Wi-Fi connection and signal at the spot you want to install the String Light
2.2 Mount the String Light
NOTE: Disconnect the plug before installing. Use the mounting holes on top of the light bulb sockets to hang the lights. Avoid tension on the wire and on the plug.
For every type of material, you can attach the Hombli string light with different methods and fastening accessories. These accessories can include guide wires, S-hooks, and cable ties. Because every situation is different, accessories are not included with the String Light. Please consult your local DIY store if you are unsure
what hardware to use.

Option 1: Mount the String Light directly to a solid structure by attaching S-hooks, rings or cable ties to the mounting holes of every third light bulb socket

Option 2: Mount the String Light to a tensioned guide wire by attaching hooks, rings, or cable ties to the mounting holes of each light bulb socket. The guidewire should be as tight as possible and properly connected to a solid structure

2.3 Connect the plug to a power outlet
2.4 The setup is finished. It’s time to enjoy your Hombli product!

Hang the String Light in your garden, patio or balcony to create a relaxed ambiance

The Smart String Light is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa speakers. Check our installation guides and instructional videos on our website to learn how to connect them.

Cleaning

• Make sure to unplug the device from an electrical outlet before cleaning
• Use a soft cloth with a neutral cleanser to clean the device
• Never use aggressive or flammable cleaning agents such as bleach and alcohol to clean any part of the device
• Make sure no water or any other liquids gets in the device
