IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read this manual carefully before using this player and keep it for later reference.

THE CD PLAYER

1. If the player fails to work, please contact our customer support team on [email protected], our staff will be happy to resolve your problems.  Remember that the KLIM Discman is supported by our warranty.
2. The device cannot be used or stored in moist environments. Keep the device away from any liquid, steam, etc.
3. Do not place any liquid or unintended objects other than CDs into the player.
4. Do not expose the device to sunlight over long periods of time and keep it away from heaters. The player is not intended to be stored or used in high-temperature environments.
5.  All professionals with extensive electronic knowledge and maintenance experience are allowed to disassemble the player for maintenance. The replacement of spare parts must be done in strict accordance with the parameters of the circuit design.
6. Do not scratch or hit the player with sharp objects.
7. There are light-emitting diodes in this device. Do not look directly into the lens; such exposure may cause permanent eye damage.
8. Children under the age of 12 should be supervised by an adult when using this device.

BATTERY

Do not disassemble the device or charge the device with power adapters that do not meet the electrical parameters of this product to avoid permanent damage. For your safety, please handle the built-in high-capacity polymer lithium battery by following the instructions below:

1. Do not remove the battery pack.
2. Do not drop or expose the device to any physical impact.
3. Do not short circuit or pierce the battery.
4. Do not place the player under ambient temperatures above 131°F (55°C).
5. Do not put the battery in a fire.
6. If the battery has been damaged, ask a professional to replace the battery with the same specifications, or contact our customer support team.

HEARING SAFETY WARNINGS

Adjust the volume to an appropriate level. If the volume is too high, it may damage your hearing or even cause permanent damage. You should increase the volume slowly until a comfortable, clear sound can be heard.
Listening to an audio device, even at a reasonable volume, may cause hearing damage if done for extended periods of time. Please use the device in moderation and allow for adequate rest for your ears.

FIRST USE

HOW TO INSERT A DISC
Push the OPEN button on the right to open the cover. Before first use remove the protective cardboard to reveal the lens. Insert your index finger into the center hole of the disc and take the edge of the disc with your thumb. Keep the labeled side upward while inserting the disc into the CD player and press the disc gently to lock it in place.
Close the disc cover completely, otherwise, the player will not read disc.
To remove an inserted disc, gently pull it upwards from the side.
Note: The player is only compatible with CD, CDR, Mp3, HDCD formats.

USING A TF CARD

After inserting a TF card into the corresponding slot, press and hold the MODE button to enter TF card playback mode.
NOTE: the TF card slot only supports cards up to 32GB of capacity.

USING EARPHONES

Only earphones with a 3.5 mm jack are compatible with this device. In order to experience the best sound quality, please use the included KLIM Fusion or similar high-fidelity headphones. You may connect two headphone sets simultaneously, one in each port.

HOW TO TURN ON THE PLAYER

The power switch is located on the side. Slide it to the ON position to play normally. When the last track in a disc is played or there is no disc in the unit, the player will enter standby mode after 20 seconds. Press the PLAY button again to restart the player.

HOW TO TURN OFF THE PLAYER

There are two ways to turn off the player:

1. Move the power switch to the OFF position if the player will not be used for an extended period of time.
2. The player will enter standby mode by pressing the STOP button twice in succession. On standby, the player will continue to consume some power, since it is not completely switched off.
   IMPORTANT: while on standby mode, press the Play/Pause button to reactivate the player.

CHARGING THE PLAYER

This product is equipped with one charging cable. You can use any charger that supports USB 2.0 protocol or standard USB charger to charge the player.
Note: the low battery sign flashes on the screen when the battery level is low.
Charging time: It takes around 4 hours to fully charge the player (this varies depending on the power output). When the battery is being charged, the LED indicator is red. Once the player is fully charged, the LED indicator will turn green. 

PLAYBACK OPTIONS

HOW TO CONNECT BLUETOOTH DEVICES

1. Turn on your Bluetooth headphone/speaker and make sure that the Bluetooth function is turned on.
2. Turn on the KLIM Nomad player and press the Bluetooth button to activate the Bluetooth function ( )
3. Select the “BT Search” option using the ( ) and ( ) buttons, then press the PLAY button to start searching for available Bluetooth devices to pair with.
4. Press the PLAY button to select the name of your device that needs to connect to.
5. Once the device is successfully paired, press the Bluetooth button to return to the play interface.

SAVING TRACK PRESETS

1. Press STOP to stop all playback.
2. Press the PROG button to enter programming mode. The screen changes as depicted on the right.
3. Press ( ) and ( ) to select the track you want to save, then press PROG to save it.
4. Repeat step 3 until you have assigned all the tracks. You can assign up to 32 tracks.
5. Press PLAY while in programming mode to start playing your track selection.

To exit programming mode, press the STOP button.
NOTE: the preselection is not stored in memory. Once you leave the programming mode, you’ll need to reprogram all tracks again.

HOW TO PLAY AN MP3 DISC
Press DIR to choose different folders if there are multiple folders on the inserted disc.

PLAYBACK SETTINGS (REPEAT MODE)
Press the MODE button to change the playback mode:
Repeat once ( 1 ). Repeat all ( ALL), random playback (RAND), track preview (INTRO), OFF.
During track preview, the first 10 seconds of each track is played before moving to the next track.

FM RADIO

1. Connect the headphones to the AUX 2 port : they will act as an antenna and increase the signal reception. You can also connect a detachable 3.5 mm antenna (not included).
2. Press the FM button ( ) to enter Radio mode.
3. Press the PLAY button and the player will start searching for stations and storing them automatically. Once the search has finished, it will play the first station detected.
4. Use the ( ) and ( ) buttons to change stations.
   Note: press the MODE button to change the frequency manually. Press the FM button to exit Radio mode.
   

OTHER FEATURES

KEY LOCK
After playback mode and sound effects have been set up, you can use the HOLD switch underneath the unit to disable all function buttons (except the volume controller), in order to avoid any unwanted operation.

CONNECTION TO OTHER SPEAKERS
Use the included 3.5 mm male-to-male cable to connect the CD player to other devices such as external speakers, amplifiers, headphones, etc. You can also connect it to your car’s audio system via the AUX port.
NOTE: connection via USB port is not supported. Refer to your audio system’s manuals for further instructions.
WARNING: do not manipulate the CD player while driving. Always keep your attention on the road!

VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
The volume controller is located on the side of the player. Flick it to the left or right to decrease or increase the volume. Remember to select an adequate volume level to prevent any harm. Listening to loud sounds for long periods of time may cause permanent hearing damage.

DIGITAL EQUALIZATION

Press the EQ button to change the equalization. There are a total of 5 presets BBS, POP, JAZZ, ROCK, and CLASSIC.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Toggle the power switch to the ON position.
Buttons are locked.| Make sure the HOLD button of the bock of the player is in the OFF position.
The CD player is out of battery| Charge the CO player.
The player is damaged.| Contact us or osk a professional for repairs.
The disc
cannot be read| The disc is installed incorrectly.| 1. Make sure the label side of the disc is facing up.2.Ensure the disc is inserted fully into the place.

The disc is dirty or damaged.| 1. Make sure the disc is not heavily scratched or damaged.
2. Wipe the disc gently from the center towards the edge with a clean, soft cloth
3. Try another disc to check if the other one is faulty.
The lens is dirty.| Wipe the lens gently with a cotton swab. NOTE: DO NOT TOUCH THE LENS WITH YOUR HANDS
The CO player isn’t charging| There is no current in the outlet.| Make sure the power outlet is working.
The charger is domoged.| Replace the charger with another one matching the specifications (0C 5V/1A).
The player is domoged.| Contact us or ask a professional for repairs.NOTE: While charging. make sure that the power source and the charging voltage are DC 5V/1A. Excessive voltage input may cause overload damage.
Tracks skip while playing| The disc is scratched.| Use a dry cloth to clean the disc, or try another disc to see it works well.
The player is subject to vibration or bumps (i.e. while in the car)| Keep the CD player stable while playing a CD.
