Instructions for use

The glove types named here meet the requirements of Personal Protection Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and Regulation 2016/425 as brought into UK law and amended, and are compliant with the above-mentioned harmonized/designated standards EN ISO 374-1:2016 and EN 420:2003+A1:2009. As the gloves are adjusted for special purposes, the lengths may deviate from the requirements of EN 420:2003+A1:2009.

Warning/risk assessment:

  1. Gloves protect against mechanical action whose effects are superficial, substances and mixtures which are hazardous to health, and harmful biological agents. Important: The gloves are recommended for use in situations where only low chemical protection is identified as needed.
  2. While selecting equipment, the user should perform risk analysis based on the intended use and determine suitability based on the product’s test standards and protection levels obtained.
  3. The information provide does not reflect the actual duration of protection in the workplace due to other factors influencing the performance, such as temperature, abrasion, and degradation, and the differentiation between mixtures and pure chemicals
  4. Information regarding protection refers to the working surface, i.e. ‘the palm’ of the glove, which has been submitted to testing.
  5. Gloves should be thoroughly inspected for damages (especially for nicks and holes) before use. If any damage is found avoid usage.
  6. The chemical resistance has been assessed under laboratory conditions from samples taken from the palm only (except in cases where the glove is equal to or over 400 mm – where the cuff is tested also) and relates only to the chemical tested. It can be different if the chemical is used in a mixture.
  7. It is recommended to check that the gloves are suitable for the intended use because the conditions at the workplace may differ from the type of test depending on temperature, abrasion, and degradation
  8. When used, protective gloves may provide less resistance to the dangerous chemical due to changes in physical properties. Movements, snagging, rubbing, degradation caused by chemical contact, etc. may reduce the actual use time significantly. For corrosive chemicals, degradation can be the most important factor to consider in the selection of chemical-resistant gloves
  9. The maximum wear time depends on the activity being carried out and the person.
  10. EN374-4:2013 Degradation levels indicate the change in puncture resistance of the gloves after exposure to the challenge chemical.
  11. The penetration resistance has been assessed under laboratory conditions and relates only to the tested specimen.
  12. This product contains Nitrile Butadiene Rubber and compounding chemicals which may cause an allergic reaction in some individuals.
  13. The glove offers no protection against perforation with sharp objects, e.g. injection needles.

Storage:

To be stored in a cool dry place away from sunlight. Storage procedures are the main factor in determining glove shelf life. Gloves should be kept in their packaging protected from sunlight, artificial light, and humidity and stored at temperatures between 5 °C – 30 °C. Real-time stability testing for the expiration date on these products after the accelerated aging process is declared as 5 years.
