SUPERTHIN PLATFORM SCALE

Thank you for purchasing this latest model platform scale. Please read the instructions carefully before using to achieve the optimum results.

IMPORTANT

1. Position the scale on a hard, flat surface where there is little vibration.
2. Avoid strong electrical or magnetic fields.
3. Do not use it in a location where there is an obvious change of temperature.
4. Do not dismantle the unit. This can result in damage not covered by the warranty.
5. Clean using a mild detergent.

POWER REQUIREMENTS

This scale operates using the included AC power adapter or four AA batteries(not included). Before operating, please make sure that batteries have been inserted into the scale.
Caution: 1) Do not use excessive force in either removing or replacing the battery cover.
2) If the scale is not to be used for over a month, remove the batteries.

FUNCTION KEYS

“ON/OFF” : Press this button to turn on or off the scale.
“MODE” : press this button to enter calibration modes, or select units of weight or recalibrate it.
“TARE” : Press this button to subtract the weight of vessel or container, restore the readout to zero.
“HOLD” : Press this button to keep the weighing value or remove keeping function.
“C/R” : Switch weighing modes.(Precision Mode & High Capacity Mode)
“PCS” : Pieces counting function.

WEIGHING

When ready to use, turn the scale back on.

1. when ready to use , turn the scale back on. The display will flash for 2 or 3 seconds, and then it will register “0.00”. Once the “0.00” appears, the scale is ready for use.

2. Units Switch Function: Turn on the scale and wait until the screen displays “0”, and the initial unit is “kg”. Press down the “MODE” button to switch the unit. Once per pressing down, the unit will switch from one unit to the next unit, and the order of the units is “kg”-“oz”-“lb”

3. Do not place objects exceeding the capacity of the scale on the weighing platform, or the scale will read “H”. If the scale is overloaded too much, it will be damaged and the damage thus caused is not covered by the warranty.

4. To weigh your pet while contained in a carrier or cage:

1. If you turn on the scale and it does not register “0.00”, press the “TARE” key to restore it to “0.00”
2. When the readout displays “0.00”, place the empty carrier or cage on the scale. The LCD screen will then show the weight of the cage or carrier. Press the “TARE” button, and the display will register “0.00” again. You can now place your pet in the carrier or cage to get an accurate weight.
3. Another option is to place the empty carrier or cage on the scale before turning it on, and it will automatically read “0.00” once powered on. Place your pet in the carrier or cage to determine its weight. If choosing this method, once your pet and the cage or carrier is removed, the scale will display a negative value equaling the weight of the cage or carrier. Press the “TARE” button to return the display readout to “0.00”.

5. C/R BUTTON: Switch to different Capacities with different readabilities. Press down the “C/R” button, the capacity of the scale will change. In the meantime, the readability of the scale will change also as the capacity change. Once per pressing down this button the capacity and the readability will change. Different editions of the scale have different types of capacity/readability, and there are at least 3 types of capacity/readability inside the scale.

6. PCS BUTTON: Pieces counting function:

1. Counting mode : Press down the “PCS” button in the weighing mode, the scale will switch to the counting mode. Press it again, the scale will return to the weighing mode.
2. Initialization for counting sample objects: Every time use the pieces counting function, the user must initialize different number of objects for the scale. First, press down the “PCS” button to switch the scale to the counting mode from the weighing mode, and the screen will display “0” at the time. Then, press down “PCS” button again to enter the sample collecting process, and the screen will display “PC-25” now, which means the sample collected objects should be 25 pieces. In the mean time, press down the “PCS” button different time can change the sample collected objects to 50 pieces or 100 pieces, whose sign in the screen will be”PC-50″or”PC-100″. After assuring the number of the sample collected objects, putting the exact number of the sample objects on the weighing platform. Press down the “PCS” button again and wait for the screen display the number of the objects. Remove the sample objects
3. from the platform and the initialization for counting sample objects procedure is ended. Now the user can put the different number of similar weigh objects on the platform for starting the counting.

Trouble ­- shooting

“H” The scale has exceeded its weight limit and will not register an accurate reading.
“-E” no display Replace or readjust the batteries.

Calibration Instructions

This scale had been calibrated before it was dispatched from the factory. But at times when there is a remarkable change in temperature or humidity (including change of seasons), there might be inaccuracies. In this case, please test the scale in the following way: place a standard weight on the platform, and if the positive or negative difference exceeds the difference allowed as specified in the technical specifications of the weight, please recalibrate the scale according to as follows. Recalibration Function: When the scales is powered off, press both ”ON / OFF” and “MODE” buttons for about three seconds at the same time, then,remove your fingers from the 2 buttons at the same time, the screen displays ”000000”. Now, press the ”MODE” button again, then the screen will display “E-25″,”E-50″,” E-100″while each time pressing down the”MODE”button, which represent the required recalibrated weights are 25kg,50kg and 100kg, choose the required recalibrated weight like 50kg (the screen is displaying”E-50″ now), and the put the 50kg weight on the weighing platform. Wait until the screen displays “GOOD”, and then the scale turns off automatically. The recalibration is ended now.
