IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/ or injury to persons, including the following:

  1. Read operator’s manual.

  2. Please read through the instruction manual carefully before using the device for the first time, and store it in a safe place for future reference. If you ever give the device to a new owner, ensure that you also pass on this instruction manual.

  3. Detachable supply unit < BLJ15L130100P-V>
    WARNING: For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the detachable supply unit provided with this appliance.

  4. This appliance contains batteries that are non replaceable.

  5. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the appliance as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

  6. Using any electrical appliance, especially when children are present basic safety precautions should always be observed.

  7. There is a potential risk of injuries from misuse.

  8. Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

  9. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

  10. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

  11. Children shall not play with the appliance.

  12. The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance.

  13. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

  14. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.

  15. Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.

  16. To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.

  17. Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.

  18. Ensure fingers are kept well away from moving parts.

  19. Do not run the appliance if there is nothing in the bowl. Avoid the blades rub with the glass bowl.

  20. Never attempt to take food or liquid into / out of the glass bowl when the blade is moving. Always wait until the blade stops completely.

  21. Do not immerse the Motor Unit into water or under a tap or in a dishwasher.

  22. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or hot surface.

  23. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

  24. Do not use outdoors.

  25. Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which come in contact with food, speed settings and operating times, please refer to the below paragraph of the manual.

  26. Do not use the machine without the bowl lid.

  27. Do not use the machine in high temperature environment.

  28. Do not put hot food / ingredients (above 65℃) into the bowl for processing.

  29. The glass bowl cannot be used in microwave oven. Do not wash with warm water more than 50℃.

  30. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

  31. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

  32. The bowl lid can only be opened after the blades stop moving completely.

  33. The motor cannot be used for other than intended use.

  34. Never try to modify or damage the interlock mechanism of bowl lid.

  35. CAUTION: After finishing chopping the food, firstly remove the blade and then handle the chopped food. Do not handle the chopped food before the blade is removed.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Before using the product for the first time, please ensure that the battery is fully charged and the parts that come into contact with the food shall be cleaned thoroughly.
  2. This appliance is equipped with a protection switch and it can be only operated by pressing and holding the speed button for 1 second later.
  3. Clean the appliance as described in section “cleaning and maintenance”. Take care when handling sharp blades.

NOTE: This set working time of the appliance for one cycle is around 65 seconds. After that, the appliance will stop working automatically.

BATTERY CHARGING

  1. The appliance must be charged by the adaptor provided with the appliance.
  2. Plug one end of the adaptor into the charging port and the other end into the power outlet.
  3. When charging, the indicators illuminate alternately from bottom to top. When fully charged, the battery indicators will stay lit.
  4. The appliance cannot be activated for working when it is being charged.

NOTE: After fully charged, the appliance can keep working for 5 cycles continuously, and minimum 3-minute rest time must be maintained between two consecutive cycles.

HOW TO CHOP FOOD

  1. Make sure the non-slip mat is in place. Place the appliance on the table.

  2. Place the blades onto the spindle of the bowl and pour in the food to be chopped. Take care the blades are very sharp.

    NOTE: This appliance is equipped with two sets of blades. Attach the two sets of blades together; rotate to fix firmly by the groove on the shaft of blade 2 and square convex point on the blade 1. Do not over tighten.

  3. Place the lid on to the bowl. Place the motor unit onto the lid. Make sure it fits properly.

  4. Press and hold the speed button I or speed button II to run the appliance. Release the button to stop the unit.
    NOTE: After put the food in the bowl, if the blades cannot speed up in a few seconds; take out part of food, than continue.

  5. After use, wait until the blade stops completely. Remove the motor unit, the lid and the blades. Then, empty the food.

  6. You can also reserve the food in the bowl. Cover the bowl with storage cover.

Always make sure the motor unit is in place; otherwise the unit will not function.

This product cannot chop hard things, such as meat with bones, soya bean, pepper, coffee bean, ice cubes and freezing food.

HOW TO WHISK EGG

  1. Make sure the non-slip mat is in place. Place the appliance on the table.
  2. Install the whisk onto the spindle of the bowl, then add at most three egg whites into the bowl.
  3. Place the lid on to the bowl. Place the motor unit onto the lid. Make sure it fits properly.
  4. Press and hold the speed button I or speed button II to whisk egg white for 65 seconds. Release the button to stop the unit.
  5. After use, wait until the whisk stops completely. Remove the motor unit, the lid and the whisk. Then, empty the food.

Fruits and vegetables (Canned, boiled)| Add at most 120g fruits or vegetables and water or soup, and then process the food in a cycle of 20S-ON and 1Min- OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got. Add at most 120g fruits or vegetables which are sliced into long pieces, and then process the food in a cycle of 20S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.
Fresh celery and other leafy plants| Clean and dry the leafy plants completely, and then process the food in a cycle of 20S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.
Nut| Add at most 120g nuts, and then process the nuts in a cycle of 30S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.
Biscuit| Add at most 12pcs of biscuits, and then process the cookies or biscuits in a cycle of 20S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.
Fresh beef or pork
Cut into cubes of 60 mm 20 mm 20 mm| Add at most 300g beef or pork, and then process the beef or pork in a cycle of 30S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Unplug the appliance and remove motor unit.
  2. Wash the bowl lid, glass bowl, blades and whisk in warm soapy water. They are dishwasher-proof.
  3. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse it in water for cleaning as electrical shock may occur.
  4. Do not use chemicals, steel, wood or abrasive materials to clean the appliance, otherwise it will damage the surface of the product.
  5. Dry thoroughly.

Caution: The blades cannot be cleaned with hand directly. They can be cleaned by a toothbrush or similar tools. Blades are every sharp, handle with care.
