Front & Rear Panels Descriptions

Front Panel

Name Description
REC The light is blue when the system is recording.
Net The light turns blue when it is able to access the network.
Power Power indicator, the light is blue when it is connected.
Connect to external USB devices like USB flash, USB mouse, etc.

Rear Panel

Item Name Description
1 DC12V Power input.
2 LAN Network port.
3 HDMI port 2 Connect to the high-definition display device.

Resolution: 1920 × 1080/1280 × 1024.
4| USB| Connect to external USB devices.
5| HDMI port 1| Connect to the high-definition display device.
Resolution: 3840 × 2160/1920 × 1080/1280 × 1024.
6| PTZ port| P/Z: Connect to speed dome. Y is TX+, Z is TX-.
K/B Connect to keyboard. A is TX+, B is TX-.
7| Alarm Out| Relay output. Connect to external alarm.
8| GND| Grounding.
9| Alarm In| Alarm inputs for connecting sensors.
10| Audio Out| Audio output. Connect to the soundbox.
11| Audio In| 1CH audio input. Connect to microphone.

Login

After powering the decoder and clicking the screen, you will see the following login window.

Note: Only connect the monitor through the 4K2K HDMI port can the OSD menu be displayed.
Username: The default username is admin.
Password: The default password is admin.
Input the above default username and password and then click “Login” to log in the decoder setting interface.

Output

Click the “Output” menu to check the status of all outputs.

Output Name: check the name of the current output.
Split Mode: check the split-screen mode of the current output (1/4/9/16 screen display mode available).
Screen Splice (Linked Display Window): check whether the output is linked or not.
Screen Splice Position (Position of Linked Window): check the position of the linked window.
Screen Splice Mode (Linked Window Mode): check the mode of the linked window. For example, 2*2, that is, the linked window is composed of 4 output windows.
Screen Splice Split Mode (Linked Window Split Mode): check the split mode of the linked window.
PIP: check whether opening the picture-in-picture mode.
Window (X,Y,W,H): check the coordinate and position of the current output.

Settings

TCP/IPv4

Set the network of the decoder by going to Settings→TCP/IPv4.

IP Address: make sure the IP address of the decoder is in the same local network segment as that of the authentication server of NVMS/ECMS. Subnet Mask: please set it as required. The default setting is 255.255.255.0.
Gateway: it must be in conformity with that of the authentication server of NVMS/CMS.
After you set the above information, please click “Apply” to save.

Port Settings

Go to Settings→Port.

HTTP Port: The default HTTP port is 80. This port is mainly used to log in to Web clients.
Data Port: The default data port is 8888.

Decoder Settings

Going to Settings→Decoder, you can see the following interface.

In the above interface, you can set the resolution and video format of the monitors.

Password Settings

A password is required for you to ensure the security of your account. Go to
Settings→Password interface to set it.

Username: the default username is “admin”.

Current Password: the default password is 123456.
It is necessary for you to input your new password if this is your first login and then confirm and apply it. Next time, you can use your new password to log in.

Server

This decoder must be used together with the NVMS/ECMS software for decoding video on the TV wall. You shall add the network information of the authentication server of the NVMS/CMS into the decoder in advance. Go to Settings→Server settings as shown below.

Server Address: input the IP address of the authentication server of the NVMS/ECMS.
Server Port: input the port of the authentication server of the NVMS/ECMS.
Decoder User: input the decoder name created in the configuration management center of the NVMS/ECMS.
Password: input the password of the decoder created in the configuration management center of NVMS/ECMS

Cascade Settings

Select Settings→Cascade to go to the following interface.
Click “Refresh” to automatically search the decoders in the same local network. When the decoder is set as “Master” (see chapter 4.7 for detail settings), other searched decoders that are set as general decoders can be added into this master decoder and
governed by it.

Click “+” to add the decoder. Click “Add All” to add all searched decoders. Click “ ” to delete the added decoder.
In this interface, you can view the status of the decoder, including “online”, “offline”, etc.

Note:

  1. The added general decoders cannot add other general decoders.
  2. The master decoder cannot be added to other master decoders.
  3. The added general decoder which is working cannot be added to other master decoders.
Basic Settings

You can set the permission of the decoder by going to Settings→Basic as shown below. The decoder can be set as “Master” or “General”. The general decoder can be added to the master decoder. (See chapter 4.6 for the detailed rules).
The master decoder can add a maximum of 63 general decoders.
The general decoder which can only be added to the master decoder is unable to connect the NVMS/CMS directly.

Live View

After configuring all the above settings, you can control the video output by the TV Wall client. Click “Live Display” to see the live interface as shown below.

Shutdown

To shut down the system, please go to “Settings” and then click the button on the bottom left of the settings interface and choose “Shutdown”. You also can choose “Logout” or “Reboot” as required.

Configuring Decoder by Web Browser

  1. Make sure the PC and decoder are connected to the LAN and the IP-Tool is installed in the PC from the CD.
  2.  Double click the IP-Tool icon to run it. Then the decoder can be searched; if the device can’t be searched, please check whether the PC and the device are connected to the network or not. Click the device to check its detailed information as shown below:
  3. Modify the IP address. Click the information of the decoder listed in the above table to show the network information. Modify the IP address and gateway of the decoder and make sure its network address is in the same local network segment as that of the computer. Please modify the IP address of your device according to the practical situation.
  4. Double click the decoder in IP-Tool and the system will pop up the Web browser to connect to the decoder. Web browser will automatically download the ActiveX control if you are the first time to login. Then a login window will pop up as shown below.
  5. Input the server name, server password, authentication server IP, authentication server port and select video output and video format. Click “Save” to apply the settings.

Decoder User: input the decoder name created in the configuration management center of the NVMS/ECMS.
Password: input the password of the decoder created in the configuration management center of NVMS/ECMS
Server Address: Input the IP address of the authentication server of the NVMS/ECMS.
Server Port: input the port of the authentication server of the NVMS/ECMS.
Video Output: Resolution of the live display interface.
Video Format: Two modes: PAL and NTSC. Users can select the video format according to the cameras being used.

Modify User Password:
The user can modify the login password of the IE client by modifying the user password here.

**** The decoder will reboot after modifying the settings. Please check whether the PC and the device are connected to the network or not.

Modify IP Address:
You will see the following interface by clicking “Modify IP/Port”.
Here you can change the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, HTTP port and data port.

Display Video On TV Wall

Run the TV Wall client of NVMS/ECMS. The TV wall area should be initialized before configuring decoder outputs. A dropdown list will be displayed by right-clicking the window. You may initialize the window as shown below.

If the TV wall area is initialized, multiple operations can be done such as binding or unbinding the decoder outputs, linking or releasing windows, adding and deleting the PIPs, etc. Please refer to the user manual of NVMS/ECMS for more details.
