IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATIONS

  • WARNING: FOR OUTDOOR USEONLY! Burning wood and charcoal indoors can kill. It gives off carbon monoxide, which has no odor.
  • WARNING: NEVER burn in vehicles, tents or indoors. CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD!

  • WARNING: When the fire pit is in use, the handle on the mesh spark screen can reach extreme temperatures that can cause serious injury to an unprotected hand. Use poker when handling.

  • CAUTION: Use heat-resistant gloves to handle hot tools.
  • CAUTION: Adequate fire extinguishing material should be readily available.
  • CAUTION: Burn only 51b/2.27 kg of wood or fire logs in the fire pit.
  • CAUTION: DO NOT use charcoal, plywood, painted, stained or treated wood, gasoline or kerosene to start the fire in your fire pit.
  • CAUTION: DO NOT use this unit on a wood deck, long or dry grass and/or leaves, on combustible surfaces or near flammable items.
  • CAUTION: Place the fire pit no closer than 10 ft. / 3.05 meters from walls or combustibles during use.
  • CAUTION: DO NOT place or use the fire pit under a canopy of trees.
  • CAUTION: DO NOT attempt to move the fire pit while it is hot or in use.
  • CAUTION: Always ensure that the mesh spark screen is secured over the firebox while in use.

    Attach legs (B + C) to the bottom of tabletop (A)

CARE AND MAINTANANCE

For outdoor use onIy.

  • Use the same precautions you would with any open fire.
  • ALWAYS use this fire pit on a hard, level non-combustible surface such as concrete, rock or stone. DO NOT use on wood decks.
  • ALWAYS empty this fire pit before each use.
  • Keep children and pets away from fire pit.
  • DO NOT store near combustibles, flammables, vehicles, overhangs, trees/shrubs or combustible surfaces.
  • DO NOT use under power lines or below overhead cables.
  • DO NOT leave lit fire pit unattended.

Lighting

  1. Remove excess ash from the bowl. Be sure only a small amount of ash is in the bottom before lighting.
  2. Place a layer of dry kindling or natural fire-starter onto the center of the pit.
  3. Above the kindling or fire-starter, place a layer of dry seasoned hardwood cut to lengths that are no more than 3/4 the diameter of the bowl.
  4. Use a utility lighter or safety match to light the kindling or fire-starter.
  5. Using the hook that is provided and heat-resistant gloves, place the spark guard over the fire pit once the kindling or fire-starter is lit.

Tending Fire

Logs may need to shift and/or be added for an ideal fire pit experience.

DO NOT place hot spark guard or hot fire pit tools onto combustible surfaces such as grass, wood decks, furniture or near any flammable item.

  1. Using the hook provided and heat-resistant gloves, carefully remove the spark guard.
  2. Using the long handled fire pit tool, shift the logs to allow for additional air flow when needed.
  3. DO NOT add gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, lighter fluid, alcohol, or similar flammable liquid to relight or enhance the fire.
  4. Wait until glowing coals have developed before adding any additional wood. If additional wood is required, place the wood on top, taking care not to shift the ashes.

Extinguishing

  1. Let the fire burn itself out.
  2. DO NOT use water to extinguish the fire. This is extremely dangerous and can also damage the fire pit.

Inspecting

This fire pit should be inspected on a regular basis to ensure product safety and a longer product life.

DO NOT attempt to inspect this fire pit until the fire is COMPLETELY out and the fire pit has cooled COMPLETELY.

  1. Check the components and tools for any signs of damage or rust.
  2. If damage to any part of the fire pit is observed, DO NOT operate until all repairs are made.

Cleaning

This fire pit should be cleaned on a regular basis to promote a safe experience
and a longer product life.

  • DO NOT attempt to clean this fire pit until the fire is COMPLETELY out and the fire pit has cooled COMPLETELY.
  • Clean the bowl of the fire pit before each use to remove excess ash.
  • Use a soft cloth to wipe the fire pit tabletop and poker when they are cooled.
  • DO NOT use oven cleaner or abrasive cleaners as this will damage the product.
  • DO NOT clean any part of this fire pit in a self-cleaning oven as this may damage the finish.

NOTE: After repeated use, a slight discoloration of the finish may occur.

  1. Wipe exterior surfaces with a mild dish washing detergent or baking soda.
  2. For stubborn surfaces, use a citrus-based degreaser and a nylon scrubbing brush.
  3. Rinse and clean with water.
  4. Remove build-up creosote from components with a chimney cleaning product.

Storage

DO NOT move the fire pit until the fire is COMPLETELY out and the fire pit is cool to the touch. This may require several hours.

  1. Once the fire is out and the fire pit has cooled completely it can be safely moved or handled. Remove and properly dispose of the ashes when cooled.
  2. Store the fire pit in a clean and dry location to maximize product life.
  3. Store the assembled fire pit in a safe location away from children and pets.
