XFADER CALIBRATION
XONE: 96 XFADER CALIBRATION
- If adjustment of the XONE:96 XFADER cut-in point is required when new, or after replacing the standard Mini innoFADER.
- Calibration requires the use of a T8, Torx, and slotted (flat-blade) screwdriver.
- Place the mixer face-down on a clean surface.
- Remove and retain two (2) Torx screws securing the front panel to the base of the mixer [1].
- Turn the mixer over. Remove and retain six (6) Torx screws securing the front panel to the top and chassis [2].
- Loosen, but do not remove, two (2) Torx screws securing the top panel sides to the mixer chassis [3]
- With care, pull the front panel away from the mixer and place face down in front of the chassis.
- The XFADER calibration potentiometer is located on the right side of the mixer as shown [4]
- Turn the corresponding channel fader up and monitor the LR MIX output (via headphones, MST, or BOOTH output)
- Using a flat-headed driver, turn the XFADER calibration pot (clockwise) until the audio signal only just cuts OUT.
- Check that the XFADER travels ≤1mm towards the X position before the audio signal cuts back IN.
- Turn the corresponding channel fader down.
- Turn the corresponding channel fader UP and monitor the LR MIX output
- Using a slotted (’flat-blade’) driver, turn the XFADER calibration pot (clockwise) until the audio signal only just cuts OUT
- Again, check the XFADER travels ≤1mm, toward the Y position, before the audio signal cuts IN
- Turn the corresponding channel fader down.
- Next, route audio to two mix channels, assigning one to X side of the XFADER and the other to Y, and check the XFADER function and different XFADER curve switch options to confirm adjustment is complete.
- Finally, replace the front panel, re-fit, and retighten all screws securing the front panel to the chassis and top panel.
