NOTE:

  • Before using, clean all parts that come into contact with the ice-cream mixture thoroughly, such as the cooling unit, ice-cream container, mixer and lid etc.
  • Switch off the ice-cream maker and pull out the plug. Place the ice-cream maker on a level, stable surface, otherwise the compressor might not work properly.
  • Do not tilt the ice-cream maker more than 45° and do not turn it upside down.
  • When the ice-cream maker has been switched off, wait at least five minutes before starting it again, otherwise the compressor can be damaged.
  • Do not subject the surface or edge of the container to knocks when taking out the ice cream, this can damage the container.
  • Never start the ice-cream maker unless the ice-cream container and mixer are correctly fitted.
  • The initial temperature of the ice-cream mixture should be 25 ± 5°C. The mixture should not be cooled or frozen before it is placed in the ice-cream maker. This will cause the ice cream to solidify too quickly, and to block and switch off the motor with the motor safety function.
  • When the ice-cream making process has started, do not switch off the motor or open the transparent lid until the process is completed.
  • Switch off the ice-cream maker and pull out the plug after use.
  • A faint noise when the mixer scrapes against the container will be heard if the ice-cream maker is started without ice cream. This is perfectly normal.
  • There are two round copper plates on the transparent lid over the motor. Wipe off any water from the copper plates and the transparent lid before using the ice-cream maker. Water can short circuit the two copper plates, which will cut out the power supply to the motor. If this happens, switch off the ice-cream maker and pull out the plug, wipe off the water and start the ice-cream maker again.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING
  • Remove the mixer and wipe it with a damp cloth.
  • Remove the ice-cream container and clean it with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Wipe the transparent lid and the lid over the ice-cream container with a damp cloth.
  • Remove any impurities on the base unit and other parts with a damp cloth.

WARNING!

  • Pull out the plug before cleaning and maintenance, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
  • Do not expose the power cord or plug to water or any other liquid, or submerge the base unit, and make sure that no liquid gets into the ventilation openings on the ice-cream maker.
  • Do not use detergent or metal utensils, abrasive or scratching utensils when cleaning. Do not wash the ice-cream maker in a dishwasher. Do not expose the evaporator to water.
