Hardware Interfaces
The wireless receiver delivered in the accessories bag (C above) has already been set to relay the activation signals from the Safe Tower. Attach the 24V and 0V to a 24V supply, and the COM and NO to a Normally Open the activation relay input of the desired automation device. E.g. any of the 4 inputs shown in blue on the ETS22cc shown below, as per PAVIS settings.
On the bock of the SofeTower: 110-240V power inlet and a 9-pin communication interface.
WARNING
Ensure that power is disconnected when setting up or installing the unit.
Terminals of the communication interface:
- 1/2: Exit count (=people count -1)
- 3/4: Enter count (=people count +1)
- 5/6: Backup activation signal (remove transmitter first!) 7/8: CAN-BUS for Master/Slave (7:CANL/8:CANH)
Passage Counting PAS/ESC (ETS Setting)
In the example here, connect as follows:
- ETS22cc /R1 -> SafeTower Terminals3/4
- ETS22cc / R2 -> Safe Tower Terminals 1/2
And set as follows in PAVIS :
ECU Settings Screen
Tap the bottom left of the screen to access the PIN input page. The factory
default PIN is 123456. Choose checks as required to allow access. “HC” is the
passage count;
“MAX” is the maximum limit. Use arrows on the bottom left to access language
and Master/Slave menus
EBT /Mask Check Settings Screen
Tap the top left dormakaba logo repeatedly to call out the PIN input. Factory default is 666666. Functions are preset in the factory but adjustments available as below
Synchronizing Multiple SafeTowers
Designate one Safe Tower as Master of the setup and connect the Safe Towers as
above.
Follow the instructions above on accessing the setup page on the ECU, tap the
arrows to get to the screen below
- Select Master/Slave accordingly
- Key in total no. of Slaves in Slave Number
- Set Slave address under CAN-Address starting from 1
