Important Safety Instructions

Warning : To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back). No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

This symbol indicates that this product incorporates double insulation between hazardous mains voltage and user-accessible parts.

  7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

  9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding plug. A polarized plug has two blades one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and a  third grounding prong.
    The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.

  10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plugs, convenience receptacles, and at the point where they exit from the apparatus.

  11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

  12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart or rack is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

  13. Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

  14. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

  1. STANDBY Button
    Press to turn the unit ON. / Press and hold to turn the unit OFF.

  2. /SCAN Button
    In Bluetooth mode, Quick press to play or pause playback, press and hold to disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
    In FM mode, quick press to switch between FM preset stations mode
    (‘CH’ will flash on the digital display) and FM manually search mode
    ( ‘FREQ’ will flash on the digital display), press and hold to scan the station.

  3. PREV/TUN- Button
    In FM preset stations mode, press to select the preset station.
    In FM manually search mode, press to manually search a station.
    Press and hold to auto-search a station.

  4. AUX-IN Port
    Connect an external source to the AUX-IN port.

  5. NEXT/TUN+ Button
    In FM preset stations mode, press to select the preset station.
    In FM manually search mode, press to manually search a station.
    Press and hold to auto-search a station.

  6. STANDBY Indicator
    When the unit is in standby mode, the indicator will be solid red.

  7. BT Indicator
    When pairing, the indicator flashes blue, when connected, the indicator will be solid blue.

  8. EQ Button
    Quick press the EQ button to cycle through the equalizer presets.

  9. VOL+ Button
    Press to increase volume.

  10. VOL- Button
    Press to decrease volume.

  11. MODE Button
    Press to select a function mode: FM mode, Bluetooth mode, or AUX-In mode
    (AUX IN is only available when the aux cable is plugged in)

Basic Operation

Connecting Power
The JK-01 uses a 9V 1.3A mains power lead (supplied). Plug the mains lead into a suitable mains socket and connect the lead to the mains input on the back of the jukebox.

Turning On/Off
Press the button to turn the unit ON.
Press and hold the button to turn the unit OFF.

Modes
The JK-01 has 3 function modes available: Radio, Bluetooth, and AUX IN. You can select the desired function by pressing the “MODE” button to cycle through the 3 different functions available.
Please Note: The AUX IN is only available when you plug in an AUX cable (not supplied).

Case Lights
To turn the lights On/Off simply press and hold the “MODE” button.

EQ Presets
Quick press the EQ button to cycle through the equalizer presets Jazz, Vocal, Flat, Classic, Pop, Rock.

Volume Control
The unit’s volume is set in a small adjusting stepped range in 0-32. Quickly press the VOL+ or VOL- buttons to adjust the volume by one level, press and hold to adjust volume continuously.

FM Radio Operation

Repeatedly press the MODE button to cycle through the functions until a radio frequency and FM are shown on the display.
Please ensure you have the telescopic antenna extended fully to receive the best signal available.

/SCAN Button
Quick press to cycle through the FM preset stations mode (‘CH’ will flash on the digital display) and the FM manually search mode (‘FREQ’ will flash on the digital display) Press and hold this button to auto scan and store up to 50 stations that may be available in your area. Once the scan and store have finished it will automatically put you onto the first stored station. If you wish to end the scan and store it before it has finished, simply press the button again.

PREV/TUN- Button
In FM preset stations mode, quick press to skip back through the available stations.
In FM manually search mode, press to manually tune to a desired station, press and hold to auto scan for a station.

NEXT/TUN+ Button
In FM preset stations mode, quick press to skip forward through the available stations.
In FM manually search mode, press to manually tune to a desired station, press and hold to auto scan for a station.

Adjusting for Best Reception
FM broadcast: Extend and reposition the FM antenna located on the back of the unit.
In BT (Bluetooth) mode, this unit can play audio from external devices that have a built-in Bluetooth function.

Connecting via Bluetooth

  1. Repeatedly press the MODE button to cycle through the functions until ‘bt’ is displayed.
    The jukebox will then be in pairing mode indicated by the blue flashing indicator.

  2. Turn ON the Bluetooth function on your external device.
    NOTE: The effective distance between your external device and this apparatus is 33 feet (10 m).

  3. Wait a moment until ‘UEME AUDIO’ appears on the paired devices list, then select ‘UEME AUDIO’ to pair your device with the jukebox.

  4. When you have successfully paired, the flashing indicator will turn solid.

Playing Music via Bluetooth

  1. Once your device is connected, open the music player application or program on your external device. If your device is not connected yet, see ‘Connecting via Bluetooth’.
  2. You can now control music playback with the /SCAN, PREV/TUN-, NEXT/TUN+, VOL- and VOL+ buttons on the Jukebox.

PLEASE NOTE: Some buttons may not work in certain music player applications or programs.

AUX Operation

In AUX (auxiliary) mode, this unit can play audio from an external audio device (iPhone, MP3 Player, Portable CD Player, etc).

Connecting via auxiliary

  1. Plug one end of the AUX IN cable (not included) into the AUX IN jack located on the front of the unit.
  2. Repeatedly press the MODE button to cycle through the functions until ‘AUX’ is shown on the display.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable into the headphone jack of your external audio device.

NOTE:
The AUX IN mode is only available when the AUX cable (not supplied) is plugged in.
Playback functions and operations are only available on your external device.
