Quick Installation Guide

Bidirectional SFP+ transceivers DEM-436-BXU/40KM and DEM-436-BXD/40KM are used in pair. The DEM-436-BXU/20KM and DEM-436-BXD/20KM transceivers are used in pair.
Connecting the transceiver
Plug the DEM-436XT-BXU / DEM-436XT-BXD transceiver into the SFP+ port of your switch. Connect a fiber cable to the DEM-436XT-BXU / DEM-436XT-BXD transceiver in order to connect your switch to fiber media.
The DEM-436XT-BXU / DEM-436XT-BXD transceiver is hot pluggable. You can connect the transceiver while the system is powered on without causing any issues, and easily plug or unplug the transceiver without interrupting the network operation.
