1. Pre-Sediment Filter
   Removes ne and coarse particulate impurities/dirt and improves the life of the Carbon Filter.

INSTALLING YOUR PUREIT MARVELLA RO+UV / RO+MF WITH FRUIT & VEG PURIFIER

1. The purifier should be installed by a trained Pureit technician.
2. It can be wall-mounted or used as a tabletop purifier.
3. The purifier should be placed in an area that is free of ants/insects/other pests.
4. The purifier should be placed close to the plumbed inlet connection (not more than 2 meters).
5. Do not install the purifier above any electric socket.
6. Avoid sharp bends to the pipes of the product.
7. Do not use an extension cord.
8. Before installing the purifier please check the inlet pressure. er.
9. Make sure you test the input water TDS (Total dissolved salts) before installing the purifier. The maximum input TDS should not exceed 1800 ppm.
10. Do not connect the purifier to any hot water tap.
11. Please do not terminate the reject line tubing directly into the drainage (keep it hanging over the drainage).
12. Do not place the unit where it will be exposed to freezing and/or direct sunlight and ensure there is enough ventilation.

USING FRUIT & VEG PURIFIER’S OXYTUBE

1. Take a clean bowl and immerse fruits & vegetables in it with 2 – 3 L of RO water.

2. Push the Fruit & Veg Purifier door to open it, gently pull out the diffuser along with the tube from the horizontal wall & unwind the tube.

3. Position the tube in the center of the bowl. Ensure that the tube is completely immersed in water. For best results, do not put more than 300 grams of fruits and vegetables.

4. Press the Fruit & Veg Purifier button for ~2 seconds to start. The Fruit & Veg Purifier indication LED will start blinking green with one buzzer sound. With this, the tube will start bubbling in the water.

5. After approx. After 5 minutes, the bubbling will stop and a beep sound will be heard once the purification process is complete.

6. Shake the tube to remove all the water. Discard the water in the bowl. (Unt for drinking/anything else)

7. Rinse the fruits & vegetables twice with Freshwater.

8. Post 3 consecutive cycles of approx. 5 minutes, the fruit & Veg Purifier can be used again after approx. 15 minutes.

9.  Always maintain the tube clean and dry when not in use.

10. Re-wind the tube on the diffuser till the end of the tube such that it is easy to dock the user on the horizontal wall.

11.  When you switch ON Fruit & Veg Purifier Button, if you don’t see any bubbles, then contact Pureit customer care No.1860 210 1000.

12. If Fruit & Veg Purifier indicator light is o then it is in a waiting period. During the waiting period, usage of Fruit & Veg Purifier is not allowed. Fruit & Veg Purifier will be allowed to use once the indicator turns green.

RECOMMENDATION
FOR USING FRUIT
AND VEG PURIFIER

• Use only RO water for cleaning fruits and vegetables.
• We recommend covering the bowl with a lid when Fruit & Veg Purifier is in use.
• The recommended container with a lid for use with Fruit & Veg Purifier is available at an additional cost and can be purchased by calling the Pureit helpline.

CAUTION

• Do not operate the Fruit & Veg Purier in the presence of children, the elderly, and people with respiratory infection / other respiratory conditions.

• Maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 feet from the bowl when operating the Fruit & Veg Purier.

• Use the device only in a well-ventilated area. Direct inhalation from Fruit & Veg Purier tube can be harmful.
  If irritation or discomfort is experienced, switch OFF the device and increase room ventilation.
  Contact 1800-210-1000 to report the event and do not use the device again until further instructions.

• In case of device malfunction or if the Fruit & Veg Purifier does not stop bubbling even after the purification is complete, switch OFF the power supply, and call the Pureit helpline.

• Do not use the Fruit & Veg Purifier for washing other types of food (eg. Meat) or other non-food products.

• After cleaning of fruits and vegetables discard the water in the bowl.

• Do not pull the Fruit & Veg Purifier tube hard as it can damage it.

• If there is any power failure, the Fruit & Veg Purifier will stop automatically and it needs to be re-started manually.

• If for any reason Fruit & Veg Purifier does not stop after the beep sound, switch OFF the power and call the Pureit helpline. Do not use the purifier until further instructions.

• Do not drop the Fruit & Veg Purifier Tube on the oor, it can damage the internal components and aect performance.

• Ensure that the Fruit & Veg Purifier tube is not pinched, bubbles will not be seen if the tube is pinched.

• Do not take the Fruit & Veg Purifier tube close to or inside your mouth while in operation.

• Follow all instructions mentioned on the labels that are on the device.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR PUREIT MARVELLA RO+UV / RO+MF WITH FRUIT & VEG

PURIFIER

Cleaning

1. Clean the tap nozzle using disinfectants like bleach/hypochlorite (50 ppm available chlorine). Discard 2 liters of water after cleaning the dispenser.
2. Clean the external portion of the purier using a dry cloth only. Do not use any detergent or soap.
3. Do not clean aggressively or rub the surface or the LED display as this might lead to scratches on the parts.
4. Never splash water on the purier while cleaning.
5. Do not try to open the purier for cleaning or for any replacements. This can be done only by qualified company personnel or an authorized agent.
6. You should maintain good hygiene in the area around your water purier. Ensure that this area is free of ants/insects/other pests.
7. Do take care of the reject line and other tubes while cleaning the purier else water can ow into the kitchen.

Storage Tank

1. Discard the water in the Storage Tank once in 15 days through the tap.
2. Always drain the water in the Storage Tank if you have not used the purier for more than 2 days.

Other Important Instructions

1. When you are away / during over-head tank cleaning always ensure to switch of the electrical power and the ball valve.

2. Do not put any heavy or sharp objects on the purier.

3. Please dispose of the used consumables like Sediment Filters, Carbon Filters and
   Membranes along with the other household waste through the municipal disposal system.

4. Please switch of the device when there is no water supply.

Disposal Guidelines (Electrical): To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, please separate electrical items in this product such as power supply adaptors, control circuits, LED panels, and wiring from other types of waste and recycle them responsibly to promote sustainable use of material resources. Contact either the retailer where you purchased this product or the local government ofce for details of where and how these items can be taken for  environmentally-safe recycling.

KEEP YOURSELF SAFE

1. Do not consume the water from the wastewater tube for drinking purposes. However, you can use that water for gardening or cleaning the doors.
2. Do not plug or unplug the power cord with wet hands. Ensure that the plug isn’t wet while plugging in or plugging out to avoid risks such as electrical shock or re.
3. Keep the cord away from wiring conjunctions to avoid hazards. Never put the cord under rugs, near heat resistors, radiators, stoves, or heaters.
4. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced and not used.
5. In case of any smoke or burning smell, remove the plug immediately and call the Pureit Helpline.
6. When shifting your house, get the purier duly inspected and packed by the Pureit service technician. Remove water from the Storage Tank and pack the purier properly.
7. Please ensure to switch of the power whenever you turn of the Ball Valve.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Rotate the housing clockwise and remove it completely from the cap.| Take out the sediment from the housing.

Clean the Sediment Filter under a jet of water. Rub by hand/tap gently to clean.| After cleaning the filter, put it back in the housing.| Rotate the housing anti clock- wise and ox it to the cap.

ATTENTION

• Close the ball valve before opening SF housing for cleaning.
• The housing needs to be opened in a wall-mounted position only.
• Make sure the clamp is properly xed on the wall & cap of housing.
• Keep the cap mounted on the wall. No need to remove the same.
• Please do not use any abrasive/pointed tool to clean the Sediment Filter as it may damage the Sediment Filter.
• In case you observe the rubber ring is dirty, clean the rubber ring & ox it on the housing again properly.
• Clean the inner portion of the housing as well.
• If required, a Spanner for opening ESF housing can be bought from Pureit service technician.

Approx. 165 days of clock time or 135 hours of pump running time,  whichever is earlier, after device installation or GKK replacement

During the initial start-up, the tank full LED and GKK LED will be lit up for 2 seconds. GKK LED will come in a Red-Green-Blue sequence. The tank full LED will blink for max. 15 minutes to indicate that the RO purier is On and then restore to normal operation thereafter.

• After every approx 300 hours of the pump running time or approx. 360 days of clock time, whichever is earlier the respective Germkill Kit needs to be changed. Every 300 hours of pump running time typically gives 3000 liters of buried water under tested conditions of 18 PSI input pressure. 450-500 ppm TDS and 25˚C temperature. Variations from the test conditions could lead to variation in filtered water volume.
  While the Germkill Kit and the Sediment Filter have a xed replacement schedule, you might be required to change them in the interim depending on the quality of your input water.

If the pressure is less than 10 PSI then you need to buy a ‘Pressure enhancing pump’ at an additional cost. The device can work between
5 to 30 PSI but recommended range is 10 to 30 PSI. The device should not be installed in a house where input pressure is greater than
60 PSI. Post-RO Carbon Filter tted in the device may need to be changed intermittently at extra cost in case you face smell issues.

Pureit has Storage Tank capacity of up to 8 liters–. The storage tank is fully automatic and well shielded and as and when you take water out of the tank, the purification process starts automatically again and refills the Storage Tank.
How much time does it take to purify water in Pureit Marvella RO+UV / RO+MF with Fruit & Veg Purifier?
Pureit can purify water up to 10-12 liters per hour depending on the device you have purchased. However, the time taken to purify depends on the life of the filters, the input water pressure, TN, and other impurities present in the water.
Does Pureit Marvella RO+UV / RO+MF with Fruit & Veg Purifier remove arsenic, fluoride, and nitrates?
Like other ions, the RO technology can also remove arsenic, fluoride, and nitrates.
How will I get new consumables/Membranes replaced?
You need to call the Pureit Helpline and order the consumables. The customer care specialist will visit your place and replace the consumable/Germkill Kit at a nominal cost.
What should I do if the flow rate from the tap is low?
Please check the LEDs and see whether SF or GKK needs to be replaced as per the instructions in the ‘Advance Alert System’section. If not then contact the Pureit Helpline for assistance.
What are all the consumables which are to be replaced in a GKK?
You need to replace the Sediment Filter, Pre and Post RO Carbon Filters, RO Membranes, Micro Filtrations Membrane; Mini Filter,TDS Modulator, Silica gel and Silica Tube when the GKK starts blinking Red. These parts can be bought together by ordering GKK.
Can I drink the first purification cycle of water from the purifier?
No, the recommendation is to throw the first cycle of water that is filled in the Storage Tank when the new Pureit purifier is installed and also whenever the Germkill Kit are replaced.
What should I do if there is no purified water in the Storage Tank?
In case there is no purified water in the Storage Tank then you need to first check whether the LED display shows Red or Blue in GKK and check the availability of input water. Also, please check if the sediment filter was changed in the due time. If none of the above 2 cases are true, please call Pureit Helpline.
When do I switch off my device?
If there is no inlet water/not at home then please switch OFF the device.
Can I open and service my purifier?
It is not recommended to open and service purifier by an individual. Call our Pureit Helpline if you face any issue which requires servicing and opening of the purifier.
Can I use reject water?
It is not recommended to use the rejected water for any kind of human/pets consumption (drinking or cooking). It may be used for gardening or cleaning floors.
What should I do if any part of the purifier is broken?
Please call the Pureit Helpline. Our technicians will visit your house and guide you on the repairs required. There will be a nominal visiting charge and you would need to buy the parts required.
What should I do if there is leakage from the purifier?
First, switch off the Ball Valve if you find any leakage from the purifier and turn off the power switch. Check for any visual improper fitment and then call our Pureit Helpline number and register a service request.
How long the stored water in Pureit Marvella RO+UV / RO+MF with Fruit & Veg Purifier can be used for drinking?
You can use stored water for 2 days. If it is not used for more than 2 days we advise you to discard that water, refill and then consume.
How does Fruit &Veg Purifier Technology work in **cleaning fruits and vegetables?
Fruit & Veg Purifier uses Ozone gas which bubbles from the tube. Ozone is an excellent oxidizing agent. It effectively reacts with pesticides present on surface of F&V and removes them; making it safer for human consumption.
How much more effective is Pureit Fruit &Veg Purifier Technology in cleaning F &V compared to simple washing and rinsing with water?
* Fruit & Veg Purifier Technology is upto 2 times more effective in removing pesticides from difficult to clean F&V like grapes, leafy vegetables etc as compared to simple washing and rinsing with water.
Can Tube be directly used on F &V without water?
No, Tube has to be immersed in water for effective removal of pesticides.
Why is it recommended to use RO purified water to immerse the fruits and vegetables before use of Fruit & Veg Purifier?
The performance of pesticide removal is superior in RO water than normal tap water.
Can I put cut F &V for cleaning?
No, It is not recommended to put cut F&V for cleaning.
Is it OK if I put the Tube on top of fruits and vegetables?
No, to have the effective performance of Fruit &Veg Purifier Technology, Tube should always be immersed in water.
Can Fruit & Veg Purifier be used for other purposes?
No, Fruit &Veg Purifier can not be used for any other purposes.
Should we clean F &V after using Fruit & Veg Purifier?
Yes, it is recommended to discard used water and rinse twice with fresh water.
Can we store cleaned F &V’s in the refrigerator and use them **later?
Yes, F&V after cleaning can be kept in the refrigerator. Make sure that the storage is not contaminated.
Can I remove F &V before 5 minutes of completion?
No, it is recommended to use Fruit & Veg Purifier for 5 minutes to have effective cleaning.
Can I use the Fruit &Veg Purifier multiple **times in a day?
It is recommended to use Fruit &Veg Purifier for 3 consecutive cycles of 5 minutes each, twice a day. Once you have used the Fruit & Veg Purifier to clean F&V, please wait for the solid green indication of the Fruit & Veg Purifier to illuminate before using it again.
Can I use different F &V for cleaning in one bowl?
Yes, you can use different fruits and vegetables for cleaning in one bowl.
What quantity of F &V is used in one go for cleaning?
For effective cleaning, it is recommended to use up to 300 gms of F&V in one go.
Is it harmful to inhale gas from tubes?
Yes, the gas from the tube is harmful if inhaled directly. It is recommended to keep away from children and elderly people during purification. Please go through the Fruit & Veg Purifier caution section of the manual.
What precautions do I need to take during usage of Tube?
During the purification process keep a distance of 1.5 feet from the bowl. Do not inhale the gas/lift Tube out from the bowl while in use.
Are there any harmful effects if I do not follow the instructions?
Yes, gas from Tube is not good for health if inhaled directly. Hence, it is recommended to follow usage instructions. In case of any irritation to the throat or eyes, it is recommended to use plenty of water till these symptoms are reduced. If there is discomfort even after 24 hours, seek medical help followed by contact with Pureit helpline.
Caution – In the case of the Fruit &Veg Purifier indicator LED is Blinking Red and you can hear a beep sound then switch off the device and call the Pureit service helpline number. Do not use the device until the problem is resolved by a trained Pureit service technician.
Can I place another appliance next to the Tube?
Yes, but it is important that the Tube should not come in contact with hot surfaces and sharp objects.
Can I use Fruit &Veg Purifier for cleaning meat, clothes, utensils etc?
No, Pureit Fruit &Veg Purifier can only be used for F&V cleaning.
Can I reuse the water which was used for cleaning F &V?
No, you must discard the used water. It is unfit for usage.
Does the Tube need to be changed?

Yes, the tubing needs to be changed after every GKK.”
What type of container can be used for cleaning?
It is recommended to use a container with a lid provided by Unilever Pureit. You may also use a glass bowl with a suitable-sized lid.
