**Gales Signature**
This pedal gives Eric Gales all the seasoning he needs to serve up some of the tastiest licks in the business. It’s a classic crunchy OD circuit customized for a more balanced midrange and a bump in gain, providing a sweet, organic sound—even when it’s time to crank up the heat.
External Controls
- OUTPUT knob controls overall effect volume
- TONE knob controls overall EQ
- DRIVE knob controls overdrive intensity
- KICKSWITCH toggles effect on/bypass (blue LED indicates on)
Basic Operation
Power
The Raw Dawg™ Overdrive is powered by the Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter or the DC Brick™, Iso-Brick™, and Mini Iso-Brick™ power supplies. This pedal cannot be powered by a battery.
Directions
- Run an instrument cable from your guitar to the EG74’s INPUT jack and another instrument cable from the EG74’s OUTPUT jack into your amplifier’s input.
- Start with all knobs set to 12 o’clock.
- Turn the effect on by depressing the footswitch.
- Rotate OUTPUT knob clockwise to increase overall volume of effect or counterclockwise to decrease it.
- Rotate TONE knob clockwise for a brighter sound or counterclockwise for a warmer sound.
- Rotate DRIVE knob clockwise to increase amount overdrive or counterclockwise to decrease it.
