INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

13.78.0010

Power supply

Even if you use the included power adapter, you can put batteries in the clock to provide a backup power source if the mains power is disconnected or fails. The batteries will not be used to power the clock as long as the mains power adapter provides power. Note that all batteries lose their charge over time even when unused. For this reason, you should replace all 3 batteries once a year with new ones. When replacing the batteries, leave the mains power adapter connected to preserve the clock’s settings

Display lighting

Briefly press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to switch the lamp on for 10 seconds.

Setting the time

  1.  From the time display, press the MODE button for two seconds
  2.  Set the year using the UP/DOWN button
  3.  Briefly press the MODE button
  4.  Set the month using the UP/DOWN button
  5.  Briefly press the MODE button
  6.  Set the day using the UP/DOWN button
  7.  Briefly press the MODE button
  8. Set the hour using the UP/DOWN button
  9. Briefly press the MODE button
  10. Set the minute using the UP/DOWN button
  11.  Briefly press the MODE button
    Completed

12/24 hour clock:
Keep the DOWN button pressed for three seconds to switch between the 12-hour clock and the 24-hour clock.

Alarm function
Note: the radio alarm clock has two alarm options: buzzer or radio. These need to be switched on or off separately.
Alarm function on/off:
Briefly press the ALARM button. The alarm symbol bottom-right lights up/is switched off.
Setting the alarm:

  1.  From the time display, keep the ALARM button pressed for two seconds
  2.  Set the alarm time using the UP/DOWN button
  3.  Briefly press the ALARM button
  4.  Use the UP/DOWN button to set the alarm minute
  5.  Briefly press the ALARM button
  6. Use the UP/DOWN button to set the snooze time (can be set at between 5 and 90 minutes; see also ‘alarm operation’)
  7. Briefly press the ALARM button

Alarm operation

  • The alarm will sound at the time set. (four beeps per second).
  • Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button. The alarm signal stops but will sound again after the snooze time that has been set. During the snooze period, ‘zZ’ will flash after the word ‘ALARM’ in the display.
  • To stop the alarm, press any of the six-round buttons. The alarm clock will sound at the same time the next day.
  • If the button is not pressed when the alarm sounds, the signal will stop automatically after 120 seconds. The alarm clock will sound at the same time the next day.

Radio on/off
Press RADIO for two seconds to turn the radio on or off. If the clock is in sleep mode (the word SLEEP appears bottom-right), the radio will stop automatically at the time set.
Sleep mode
In sleep mode, the radio will switch off automatically at the end of a pre- defined period.
Setting the sleep time

  •  From the time display, briefly press twice on the MODE button -> display ‘SLP’.
  •  Briefly press the UP button to switch the SLEEP function on or off. The word ‘SLEEP’ appears bottom-right in the display when the function is switched on.
  • Press the MODE button for four seconds and use UP/DOWN to set the sleep time (5-90 minutes); briefly press the MODE button to confirm the sleep time.

Operation

Switch the radio on by pressing the RADIO button for two seconds. The radio will switch off automatically after the set sleep time.

Volume control

Briefly press the VOL button; the word VOL will flash bottom-right. Repeatedly press the UP or DOWN button to increase or decrease the volume. Level 16 is the maximum, and level 1 is the minimum volume

Search for a radio station

With the radio switched on, briefly press the UP or DOWN button to tune into the next/previous radio station.
Or first, keep the UP or DOWN button depressed for two seconds and then repeatedly press briefly on UP or DOWN to find an FM station in stages of 0.1MHz

Radio wake-up

Switch this function on or off

  1.  From the time display, briefly press the MODE button once.
  2. Briefly press on UP to switch this function on or off (display the frequency of the chosen radio station = on, display shows “—“ = switched off).
  3. Briefly press the MODE button twice, ready.

Press and hold the RADIO button for 2 seconds to return to the time display mode. Set time for the radio to come on:

  1.  From the time display, briefly press the MODE button once
  2. Press the MODE button for four seconds
  3. Use UP/DOWN to set the activation time
  4. Briefly, press mode
  5. Use UP/DOWN to set the activation minute
  6.  Briefly, press mode

Set the wake-up radio station

  • See ‘Search for a radio station’ and tune in to the required radio station.
  • Press the MODE button for four seconds until the frequency flashes three times. This frequency is now saved and the ‘Radio wake-up’ function will tune into this station.

Operation

  • The radio will come on at the time set.
  • Press the RADIO button for two seconds to switch the radio off.

WARNING

  1. Always replace all batteries at the same time. Never mix different types of batteries or use new and old batteries together.
  2. Never dispose of batteries as domestic waste. Empty or faulty batteries contain substances that are harmful to the environment. Deposit used batteries in the special collection bins or as chemical waste at a waste collection point.
  3. Remove empty batteries from the battery compartment as empty batteries are more likely to leak (including leak-proof batteries).
  4. If you are not going to use the product for a long period of time, remove the batteries.
  5. Never allow children to replace batteries without proper supervision.

This means that this product must be handled pursuant to European Directive 2012/19/EU in order to be recycled or dismantled to minimize its impact on the environment. For further information, please contact your local authorities. Electronic products not included in the selective sorting process are potentially dangerous for the environment and human health due to the presence of hazardous substances.

Maintenance

Clean the casing with a damp cloth with water or a mild detergent. Do not use solvents such as alcohol, benzene, or thinner, to avoid damaging the casing.
