GENERAL INFORMATION and SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

CAUTION!
Only use the detachable accessories when there is no steam and they are cooled down to avoid scalds.

  • Do not use the steam mop outdoors.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended when plugged in. Always unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when not in use.
  • Do not use the appliance as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children, pets or plants.
  • Use only as described in this manual.
  • Use only the manufacturer’s recommended accessories.
  • Do not operate the appliance with a damaged plug or cord , or if the unit has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair the appliance on your own. Incorrect re-assembly or repair can cause a risk of electrical shock or injury to persons when the appliance is used.
  • To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the steam mop into water or any other liquids.
  • Do not carry the product by power cord, close a door on the power cord, or pull the power cord near sharp edges or corners. Keep power cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not unplug by pulling on the power cord.
  • Do not handle plug or steam mop with wet hands or operate the appliance without shoes.
  • Do not put any objects into steam holes. Do not use the product with any steam holes blocked.
  • Do not put your hands or feet under the steam mop in case be scalded by hot steam.
  • Use only on flat, horizontal surfaces. Do not use it on walls, counters, or windows.
  • Do not use on leather furniture or floors, synthetic fabrics, velvet, or other delicate, steam-sensitive materials.
  • Do not add cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils, or any other chemicals into the water used in this appliance as this may damage the unit or make it unsafe for use. If you live in a hard water area, we recommend using distilled water in your steam mop.
  • Never direct steam towards people, animals, or plants.
  • Carefully remove the micro-fiber pad after you have finished using the steam mop and turn off the appliance.
  • Do not use alcohol, benzene, or paint thinner on the unit. For cleaning the appliance, cut off the power supply and use a dry or wet cloth to wipe it.
  • Extreme caution should be paid when using this appliance to clean stairs.
  • Never use a steam mop without a micro-fiber pad attached, unless using it for carpet cleaning.
  • Store steam mop indoors in a cool and dry place.
  • To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another appliance on the same socket (circuit) together with the steam mop.
  • Do not leave the steam mop unattended when the system is connected to a power supply/electrical outlet.
  • Do not use extension cords or outlets with inadequate current carrying capacity.

WARNING: Your steam mop is designed to clean floor with hard surfaces that can withstand high heat. Do not use on unsealed wood floor or unglazed ceramic floors. On surfaces that have been treated with wax floors, the sheen may be removed by the heat and steam action. It is always recommended to test an isolated area of the surface before proceeding. We also recommend that you check the use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer.

WARNING: Danger of Scalding. Please use caution when using the steam mop. The steam emitted from the openings is very hot.

IMPORTANT: Do not store the unit with a damp/wet micro-fiber cleaning pad attached. Do not store cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water used in this appliance. If you live in a hard water area, we recommend using distilled water in your steam mop.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

How to Assemble Your Steam Mop

  1. Remove all the parts from the packaging.
  2. Insert the handle into the pole (as shown in picture 1). Push it in until you hear it click into the right place.
  3. To disassemble the handle, pull out the cord wrap (as shown in picture 2).
  4. Push insert button on pole, then insert the pole assembled with a handle into the main body. Make sure that the locking tab snaps into the right place (as shown in picture 3).
  5. Disassemble the tube, push the release button on the back of the main body, then pull the support pole out (as shown in picture 3).ZASS-ZSMC-02-Steam-Cleaner-fig-2

Using Steam Mop

Important: never use the steam mop without the micro-fiber cleaning pad attached to the mop head or without water in the water tank.

  1. Please tidy up the area that needs steam cleaning before using the steam mop.
  2. Place the micro-fiber cleaning pad underneath the mop head. Make sure that the velcro are facing up.(as shown in picture 1)
  3. Push the “PUSH” button on the main body, then lift up to remove the water tank.(as shown in picture 2)
  4. Turn the cap counterclockwise (as shown in picture 3), pour water into water tank. Do not overfill the water tank. Keep the water level below the TOP line marked “450ml ”on the water tank.
  5. Replace cap clockwise onto the water tank.
  6. Replace the water tank with main body.
  7. Turn the cord wrap on the handle to unwrap the power cord quickly and completely.
  8. Plug into electrical outlet. Make sure the voltage matches with the appliance.
  9. Turn on the power switch.
  10. It takes approximately 35 seconds for the appliance heat up and provides steam.
  11. Wait a few seconds, let the micro-fiber cleaning pad dampen first, then begin mopping the floor with a forward and backward motion.
  12. When water tank is empty, the steam mop will stop emitting steam. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and refill the water tank following the instructions above.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

If you consistently use distilled water, cleaning the water tank is not necessary. Caution: This appliance must be unplugged from the electrical outlet before performing any cleaning or maintenance tasks.

Care the micro-fiber cleaning pad

  1. Wash the pad with mild detergent.
  2. Put it in the washing machine using the warm water setting, and separately from other fabrics or place them in a garment bag first.
  3. If there is a loose thread, please cut if off by scissors. Do not pull the thread.

Reserve the Steam Mop

  1. Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning or storing.
  2. Empty all water from the water tank after use.
  3. Twist the power cord on the cord wrap.

Water

  1. Use tap water for all your cleaning needs.
  2. However,if you live in an area with hard water,it is recommended that you use distilled water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTIONS

STEAM MOP DOES NOT OPERATE

| 1. Power cord not firmly plugged into outlet.

2. No power in outlet.

3. Needs repair servicing.

1. Plug firmly.

2. Check fuse or breaker. Replace fuse/reset breaker.

FOR THE FIRST TIME USE STEAM MOP, WATER PUMP KEEP MAKING NOISE

|

1. There is no water in water tank.

|

1. Please add water into water tank.

STEAM MOP DOES NOT MAKE STEAM

|

1. No water in tank.

2. Forget to turn on steam button.

| 1. Add water to the water tank following instructions.

2. Turn on the steam button and wait 20s for its preheating.

STEAM MOP LEAVES WATER ON THE FLOOR

|

1. Micro-fiber cleaning pad is too wet.

2. Low temperature of the steam resulted too much moisture.

| 1. Unplug unit from power outlet and change the micro-fiber

cleaning pad.

2. After turn on the steam mop, wait for 30s, then use it to mop

the floor.

STEAM MOP LEFT WHITE SPOT IN FLOOR

|

1. Steam mop left in one spot too long.

2. Hard water.

| 1. Never leave the steam mop on the floor with a damp or wet cleaning pad still attached when

not in use.

2. Use distilled water.

THE FLOOR IS STILL DIRTY AFTER CLEANING

|

1. Micro-fiber cleaning pad is too dirty.

2. Mild detergent is not.

|

1. Turn off the appliance, change a clean one.

2. Wash the micro-fiber.
