GENERAL INFORMATION and SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

CAUTION!
Beware of steam coming out when you open the baking section!
Put the unit down onto a heat-resistant surface or mat.
Do not leave the appliance (whether or not it is switched on) within reach of children unsupervised. The use of this appliance by young children or disabled persons must be
supervised at all times.
Check that specifications of your appliance are compatible with those of your electrical system.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote- control system.
Any connection error will render the guarantee null and void
If your system does not include an earthed socket, before you plug in the appliance it is vital that you call in an approved body to bring your electrical system up to standard.
This product has been designed for domestic, indoor use only. Any professional use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, ACE accepts no responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.
Do not use your appliance if is not working correctly or if it has been damaged. If this happens, contact an approved ACE
Any intervention other than normal cleaning and maintenance by the customer must be carried out by an approved.
Never place the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water or in any other liquid.
Do not allow the power cord to hang down within reach of children.
Always keep the appliance well away form children.
Never leave your appliance unattended whilst in use.
The power cord must never be close to or in contact with the hot parts of your appliance, close to a source of heat or resting on a sharp edge.
If the power cord or the plug is damaged, do not use your appliance. To avoid any risk, these must be replaced by an approved ACE.
For your own safety, you should use only the ACE spare parts and accessories which are suitable for your appliance.
Place your appliance on a stable, horizontal surface which is heat resistant.
Do not touch the plates with the non-stick coating when the appliance is switched on.
The external surface may become hot when the appliance is in use.
Allow the appliance to cool down before handing it in any way.
All appliances are subject to strict quality control.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE

Before using your appliance for the first time
Clean the plates using a damp sponge rinse and dry carefully.
After applying a fine coating oil to the plates, close the appliance and plug it in. The indicator light (red) will come on.
Allow it to heat up for several minutes to get rid of the new smell.
Put the plug into an earthed 220-240V~, 50Hz mains socket. The indicator lights (red&green) will come on
Select the desired temperature using the thermostat (position1-6)
Once the appliance reaches the right temperature, the setting indicator light(green) goes out.
Open the appliance and lightly the oil the plates.
Pour the waffle batter into the center of the hollow part of the pate
Immediately close the appliance, using the handle, so that the batter is evenly distributed over the whole surface of the plate
Do not hold onto the handle of the appliance during cooking, as this will prevent the batter from rising.
Note: During cooking, the thermostat indicator light (green) will come on and got off again at regular intervals in order to ensure the cooking temperature remains constant. Equally, you can adjust the thermostat at any time during cooking if you feel that the temperature is not high enough, or again, is too high.
The cooking time is about 3 minutes and will vary according to the composition the batter.
In any case, it It is advisable to control the degree of cooking with the thermostat according to your own taste. The quantities and times are given by way of indication only.
Once cooking is complete, remove the waffle using a spatula.
Do not use metallic or sharp, as they could damage the coating on the plate.
If you want your waffles to the plate, select a higher setting on the thermostat or increase the cooking time
After use, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Before cleaning the appliance, unplug it and allow it cool down.
Never place the appliance in water or under running water.
To clean the outside of the appliance, use a damp sponge and dry carefully.
To clean the plates, use a damp sponge with washing up liquid. Rinse and dry them with care.
If there is any batter backed onto the plate, we would advise using vegetable oil to soften it and waiting 5 minutes before removing it.
Never use a scouring pad or powder.
Wind the cord around the appliance and store the appliance vertically to save space.
