General aspects
CAUTION: Read carefully before starting up!
Please observe the notes in the operating instructions carefully. In case of
non-observation, the warranty claims will become void. The manufacturer shall
not be liable for any damage and/or consequential damage resulting.
The mobile filter housing is a piece of accessory for the HEYLO axial
ventilator PowerVent 6000 (Art.-No. 1110824).
By using coarse of fine dust filters, the mobile filter system can also be
used for extracting dust. Dust that does not fall under the Ordinance on
Hazardous Substances can be extracted and filter using the filter combination
consisting of the pre-filter G4 and the fine dust filter F9. The combination
of filter housing incl. dust filter and PowerVent 6000 produces the “Dust
Stop” system.
Mounting
Use of the Dust Stop
The Overspray/Dust Stop with the double lip seal (A) is pushed into the hose connection adapter of the PowerVent 6000. That way, a dust-tight connection results between the filter housing and the ventilator PowerVent.
A hose adapter (B) can be mounted to connect a hose to the filter housing.
Dust (Dust filter G4 / F9)
- Insert filter the same way as with a paint filter
- Observe direction of air
- Insert the G4 pre-filter on the suction side.
- Insert F9 fine dust filter inside (on the ventilator side)
- Put on the filter cover (C) back again and fix it
CAUTION
When using the optional dust filter, it is absolutely necessary to observe the
recommendations of the professional associations in terms of air exchange
rates, such as BGR 128 – at least 6- to 8-fold air exchange (HEYLO recommends
a 15- to 20-fold air exchange)
The filters must be replaced when the air performance is not sufficient any
more.
In case of hazardous substances, intermediate cleaning of the filters is not
permissible.
- Pre-filter: G4 filter according to EN 779
- Main filter: F9 according to EN 779 / filter class M according to EN 60335
Use / Safety instructions
When using the Overspray/Dust Stop, the following safety instructions have to be observed:
- Operate the ventilator PowerVent only on suitable sockets with protective conductor.
- It is absolutely necessary to observe the operating instructions of the “PowerVent 6000” ventilator. www.heylo.de – Downloads / Bedienungsanleitungen
- Do not draw and filter any potentially explosive gases!
- Overspray/Dust Stop and PowerVent must not be used in explosive environments.
- An area exposed to fire hazard (a so-called special area) has to be established in the surrounding area of 5 m of the processing place.
- Replace filter only by using gloves and eye protection and respiratory protection, if necessary.
- Dispose of contaminated filter material professionally.
- Ventilation of the room must always ensure a 5-fold air exchange.
- Air that is discharged into the atmosphere may contain not more than 3 mg paint solids /m³ exhaust air (value acc. to TA Air).
Installation guidelines
The legal regulations of the respective country have to be observed for the installation and use of the Dust Stop. In Germany, the following regulations have to be observed among others:
- German Workplace Ordinance: Section (5) and (14)
- German Workplace Regulations: ASR 5
- Accident Prevention Regulations: VBG 43
- Ordinance on Hazardous Substances: OHS
- Technical Rules: RBS 1203
- Trade Association Regulations and Rules: BGI 740 , BGR 128, BGR 132, BGR 231, BGR 500
- Standards: EN 12215, EN 13355, EN 13463-1 to 8
- Information on explosion protection: TRBS 1203
HEYLO does not accept any liability for damage which is caused by incorrect
and irregular installation and use of the Dust Stop and the PowerVent 6000.
Decommissioning and disposal of the unit
HEYLO units have been designed for many years of operation. If it has to be
disposed of, the competent legal regulations have to be observed in
environmentally-gentle manner.
